Starter engages, not spinning the engine!

Yeah it does. On a side note, only took Summit 3 tries to get me a new fan shroud. They shipped it twice and it came in pieces. Finally, they actually wrapped it with plastic and extra boxes. The first two times they literally dropped a plastic shroud in a way too big box and hoped that FedEx...

And I just walked outside to take it to a car show and it just clicks at the relay. Jumped the ground and NOTHING! I'm so gonna be an alcoholic by the end of the day!

Starter engages, not spinning the engine!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their help. I installed the new 440 Source starter, checked alignment and flywheel teeth. All was good. I tested the continuity of all grounds and power cables and all Ohmed out. Finally, got a wee bit frustrated and pulled the cables off and all...

Starter engages, not spinning the engine!

Motor and tranny rebuilt a year ago or so. Nothing changed. Had no issues electrical or otherwise since MAD electrical upgrades. Starter that was in it and working fine hung up one day when starting and I had to put it on lift to disengage it. I dropped the starter when removing it to make sure...

Shin is in (brand new) Flex plate and flywheel are 440 source and just about a year old. All installed with ARP bolts, torqued and thread sealer. Gonna start with cables to battery and may pull tranny just to see alignment and actual condition of flywheel. Plus I can see the engagement. I...

Starter engages, not spinning the engine!

As usual, the replies on here are all great advice. I've got to drop my son off at college today but once I get done with that evolution, I will investigate the cables and ground. This is surely on electrical gremlin getting evicted today. Thanks to everyone, I'll update what I find later. Al

Starter engages, not spinning the engine!

I'm pulling them off tomorrow. They are literally a year or less old but re pop stuff is aggravating. Starter pushes out and just sticks in flywheel. Doesn't turn the engine. Frustrating

Starter engages, not spinning the engine!

Hello, Ok brain is officially numb! 69 Roadrunner 440-6 Barrel, auto. So I started my car a few weeks ago. The starter sounded like it stuck to the flywheel and made some noise. Pulled car on lift and found that starter did indeed get stuck in the engage position. Popped it loose with a...

    1969 Roadrunner Post Coupe Restoration

It's finally all painted and polished. On its way back home to get reassembled. Now the fun begins wondering where all those nuts, bolts, linkages go. Good thing I bought a nice new sandblast cabinet to clean every part down to bare metal!

    1969 Roadrunner Post Coupe Restoration

It's weird, but watching it sit without any work being done didn't bother me ( I thought). Now every day I'm sand blasting nuts, bolts, parts and spend hours chasing little missing pieces. Thankfully have a ton of parts to pick over. Constantly amazed how much a Mopar costs to restore. Restoring...

    1969 Roadrunner Post Coupe Restoration

I have been debating bolt on or weld on. Was going to reach out to the B Body guys and get some opinions before I do it. This whole hemi thing is new to me. For all the money I'm putting in, I want to get it right. Any thoughts?
