I can finally officially say hello. My name is Ken. I live near Houston Tx. A lot of people here already know me,but because I had to wait 3 years for my BONDED title to clear. I never divulged too much personal info on here. Paranoid maybe. I have a 1967 Coronet 500. Look in my garage for a few...
67 coronet-----looking from the side of the car,do the rear shocks hang perpendicular or angle back slightly? I have my rear end out and am making a New shock crossmember and they angle back slightly on the existing crossmember. Just want to make sure before I start cutting and welding.
I'm under the car last night, scoping things out since I've got the rearend out. I can't believe how flimsy the rear shock crossmember is. I'm running air shocks now. I'm thinking of replacing the original crossmember with a piece of 4x2x3/16 steel tubing and welding it in between the rear frame...
67' Coronet w/ 440 & 727. 8 3/4 sure grip. Original 318 car.How close to the floor pan does the pinion snubber need to be? I have an adjustable one. Next project is replacing the springs with XHD springs and poly bushings. I will probably use +1" shackles to raise the rear a bit. Right now all...
Have you ever had an OLD screwdriver or anything else with a plastic grip that smelled like vomit? That's what my steering wheel smells like. WTF causes this? Can you ever get rid of that horrid stank azz smell?.....and no I didn't get ripped and puke in the car.
I have a New MSD 6A box. I just finished rewiring my rear mounted battery connections correctly. The problem I'm seeing is when I leave the negative battery cable off for more than a minute and reconnect it, I get a small spark at the negative battery terminal. I know why, because of the MSD...
Well I replaced the floor pans and cleaned up the seatbelts. Now I forget which belt went where for the front seats. Should have taken pics before I started. I need some close up pics of the orientation that they bolt to the floor.
First off, I'm not going to a gunsmith. Has anyone tried to re-blue a gun? I tried on my .357 once....it sucked. It turned out brownish instead of the blueing color. I used the cheap Wally World kit. I didn't heat it in an oven either. Is there a secret to this?
I have two piece smooth centerlines front and back on my 67 Coronet 500 now. I'm thinking of putting 5 spoke stars on the front? Show me your custom wheels. What size tires are you running also. Thanks.
How much $$ have you sunk into your baby? Not counting time or blood sweat and tears. just curious to the extent we all go. So far just parts wise (not including bonds and primer ) I'm around 3200. I'm sure alot will say too much on theirs, but be honest.
I just finished installing New headlights and parking lights. I painted all the headlights buckets and grille. I put the bumper back on. I got the tail lights back in. All the lights and blinkers work. Hazard lights don't come on ( not real worried about that ). I deleted the fender turn...
I working on the grill and front trim now on my 67 coronet 500. I bought a better hood awhile back and the lip trim doesn't have the same shape as the surrounds. surrounds have a rounded form and the hood lip is more boxed. Maybe this is a 66 hood? Anyone have pics?
Removing all A/C and heater ducts. Not sure what its worth, but if you need a part or the whole setup make me an offer. If you need pics, P.M. me. Willing to trade also. I also have alot of window trim(front and rear glass trim) and side molding for 67 coronet 500.
I'm needing some pictures of alternator brackets. Mainly the slider bracket. Mine is attached to the motor mount and makes the alternator set too close to the head. It's actually wedged against the head. Any and all pics please. Doesn't matter year but please specify what you have.
I would like to get a shop service repair manual for my 67 coronet. Who makes a good one. I try to stay away from chiltons because they are misleading and not as thorough as others. Not sure if I want the book or maybe get one on CD. Any recommendations?
