    A few gun stories

As young boys under the age of twelve, my father would take my brother and myself to a local creek bridge to learn gun handling. We learned to shoot a .22 rifle, a 12 gauge shot gun and a WWII era Remington .45. Because he had retired from the Army in the 60's as a Marksman, he took gun handling...

Can you drive a manual shift?

My first car (1972) was a '64 Studebaker with a 3 on the column. It was soon followed by a '67 GTO 4 speed. In the mid 70's my wife learned to drive in her Dad's C10 with a 3 speed. She longed for another just like it, so we got one couple of months ago. Ain't skeered of clutch pedals!

    I quit.....

I started smoking as a teen. 20+ years later and I was smoking almost two packs a day when I quit. Shop environments were conducive to smoking back then. I've only quit once, and that was back in 1998. A serious bout with pneumonia convinced me that breathing was going to be real important if I...

    Has anyone ever noticed...

I liken the font to the bell bottom pants of the time. Like the pants, I think the font was meant to equate with youth. JMO

Toddler Mauled by Pit Bull Dies

The event that this thread about is very familiar to me. It occurred in the next county. This story is repeated a few times every year in this area. It always belongs to the ignorant, in-denial person with "that special dog" that would NEVER hurt anyone!!! In this instance the mother took her...

Question On Painting Car In Sections

You can hit my link and see the steps we go through when painting. It's a silver Charger, but there are other cars shown in the booth with the parts. With silver (or any metallic) it is critical to have your body panels oriented the right way when sprayed. You don't want a door or fender laying...
