I have a no AC 383......it seems like the heater core has two different outlet tube sizes and then it seems like the water pump has the same two sizes connections? It looks like the water pump has dual 5/8 " tubes and the heater core is one 5/8" and one 1/2"tube? Do I have wrong heater core or...

Alternator gauge rocks back and forth sometimes at idle, then when at higher speeds goes all the way to "C"…any thoughts? Voltage regulator? or just bad gauge?
