HI All,
Anyone use the small clips that Detroit Steel wheel sells for hub caps to convert steel wheels that accept 9" dog dish, and make them accept 10"? I have a '66 Belvedere and want to go to that 10" style cap like the attached picture, but 15" steel wheels designed for 9" dog dishes. Seems...
Obviously partial based on my profile picture of my car. Love the progress. Keep listing where you find parts, especially the hard to find stuff for post cars.
Hi All,
I changed over to an Edelbrock RPM intake on my 440, made a piece to extend the old throttle cable out of some scrap carb parts, used the old throttle cable bracket that was at the wrong angle to get home from my dad's place. Ordered a new throttle cable bracket from Mancini for the...
Here are a couple pictures of mine. I'm working with a column shift as well, so needed to make a little foot for the mount that came with the tach. Let me know if you want any other angles, or a better picture.
For some reason, I didn't see your questions originally. I will bust out the measuring tape this weekend and reply with the part numbers as well. I apologize for not getting back to you.
Some pictures of my setup in a 66 Belvedere, 440, with a 26" aluminum rad. It is a stock shroud, with some home made mounting "Z" brackets. I made the templates out of cereal boxes and had a metal shop bend them up for me after I cut them to the size I needed.
My car has a single posts side view mirror, but I have seen them with a dual post. Which is the correct one for a 66 Belvedere I. I searched the web for answers but was full of pictures of cars with both. There is a dual post for sale very local to me and was wondering if I should pick it up as...
Here is a shot of mine on my column shift. I made an aluminum foot for the mount, attached it to the tach, then hose clamp to the column. I made sure that I could use the turn signal as I mocked it all up. Hasn't moved in 2 years of driving so its ok. The foot of my tach is a bit different than...
I believe I got real thin gauge aluminum, and had a friend with a shop bend it for me. I made templates out of cereal boxes for the exact measurements that I needed for each bend, then I rounded off the sharp corners and installed it. I looks not bad. I was concerned the plastic shroud and...
Have a '66 Belvedere that was a standard, then converted to an auto. Previous owner just tucked the clutch pedal under the carpet and stuck a new column in it. I want the proper pedal so bought the proper brake pedal which came with the under dash bracket as well. Hoping I don't need to rip out...
