I resurrected a 78 Magnum, 360 that had sat for 20 plus years. The lean burn is a nightmare with about 7 critical sensors, and the ignition unit is mounted to the air cleaner. Mopar has a conversion for it. I highly recommend removing the tank and having it dipped. Roppels in Louisville KY...

As to the 2bbl OEM, Holley Custom shop in Bowling Green KY rebuilt mine to new specs. Didn't have to touch a thing, just bolted it on and drove away. No hesitation, no cough...Cost was $360 shipped to them and picked up in their shop. I doubted the lean burn, but no issues as of yet...

I went through the same thing on my 78 Magnum. I ended up with a 72 Charger which I rebent slightly. Worked like a champ. Same hose connections, same electrical, just needed a slight bend. Might try that.

Got a photo uploaded. Once it warms up, I'll get to the cleaning. Runs good though...(Except for AMP gauge, it quit while it was away).

I had the Holley Custom Shop rebuild mine. Factory warranty, 3 week turn around, bolt it on and drive. Bowling Green KY shop. Cost was cheaper than an aftermarket.

An Awesome day yesterday! Back in 2007 I had to sell a 89 D350/dump that I had inherited. As I was doing Santa stuff yesterday, what should I see sitting on a sales lot? Yup, my old truck. Long story short, it followed me back home. Interior is near perfect, cab needs paint from sitting...

My Magnum does not have them and hasn't since it was new. If I can find some, how did they attach? The molding doesn't seem to have any attachments on it.

Funny! I feel the same way! I was about 19 or 20 when Dad bought that car. He had issues with it and the local dealer said "huh'. He got fed up and pushed it into the machine shed. There it sat until I went and hauled it home.
