Or, as usual, I'm the last one to find out.
Got my 64 Ply insured through Allstate, since we have had the house, and both pick-ups through them for years. I didn't want any dang restrictions on the 64, and figured $400 a year was a reasonable price.
On the vehicles, we re-new every six...
Just gonna toss it out, for anyone interested.
On my 64 Ply, with a 440, and a later 3 core 22" radiator. I'm the one, who ordered and installed one of the 180 SuperStats. With that thermostat installed, a short 5 mile each way drive, damn near burned my engine up! When I got back to the shop...
Made a post, awhile back, about maybe a 'special' 64:blah::blah:, and an old boy, that has a bunch of 64 parts.
Nada. Not seeing it, for now anyway. The guy with the 'special'...a :mad:car/parts hoarder, as far as I'm concerned. Real proud of his personal junkyard. Guy is retired, so not busy...
What's the story on those things? Good, bad, not worth a flip?
Just curious, if it would be worth trying. Have one laying around, guessing one of the 64 model's, clutch feels in good shape. Only thing, since I've measured things out, I'd only have 1/2" clearance from the radiator. Probably too...
Was the original black liner felt, or mohair?
Mine, on the driver's side, is now in a wad.:BangHead:
Didn't redo either of the rear channels, since they looked fair. Gonna pay for that one.
Early yesterday, day was turning into 'a bad day at black rock'. My youngest son has been living with us for a couple weeks now. Him and his wife, kinda up in the air, not sure if their gonna stay together. Have two kids, great, and are here off and on.
Time to cut the acre of grass, wants to...
Doubt there's a good answer...so, I'll just rant!:D
I've changed more condensers on my Mallory, that I care for. What the hell? (Yeah, some of you can go ahead, and laugh yer a$$ off!)
Had just changed one bad one, for one of the four I had bought. Not even 200 miles on it, trip to the whiskey...
Made another attempt to straighten the alignment on my 64 Sport Fury hood.
The hood is not the original off the car, but shouldn't make any  difference. Both fenders are lined and gaped right, with the rest of the body.
Besides the rear of the hood's 'bow' being higher, the driver's side...
64 Ply Sport Fury fuel/temp gauge...power on...temp gauge completely bottomed out to the left, fuel gauge moves completely to the right, to the stop, past the full mark.
Sign of a bad voltage reducer?
Just curious. 64 Savoy post car.
An old boy, think he's older than me, stopped by my shop yesterday. He had stopped by, a few years back, to look at my 64 SF. Tells me he lives only a few miles down the road.
Anyway, he came by, to tell me about the project 64 Savoy post car he just bought...
And, having a good time doing it!
My youngest son came over yesterday, in tow his two kids. Boy 10 years old, girl 6, both hell on wheels, two of my 10 grandkids.
Gary, my son, started making noises about going for a ride in my 64 Plymouth. He had rode in it once, the kids never. Asked the boy...
Figured I'd ask here, from those running one of these cars.
64 Sport Fury, with most of the normal upgrades...later disc spindles, radial tires, and so on.
Numbers on the radial tires chart work for you? Mine wanders, so going to re-do what the alignment shop screwed up.
Just curious what's...
Big F***ing hammer will work, to get an inner race off a 8 3/4" axle? Or, is this just me rantin', again? :blah:
Axle leak, mostly outer seal. Went out, bought a 'good' bearing splitter for $48. Set up a puller, and bent the dang tool bolt!
Get to hunt down someone, with a tough enough...
For too many failed attempts. (It ain't me!)
Just bringing it up, since today was the second time. Don't know what the hell is going on, or who is doing it. Don't like it!
But, appreciate the admin, from keeping some fake from imitating me.
Irritating...
A update on my post..

Fingers crossed anyway.
Rebuilt my new Mallory dual point, changing the advance from the H type. Still won't start, but it will try to, firing off, but refuses to run. Checked...
That's what my diagnose is, from my current heart doc. Says nothing can be done about it.
Hit me about a month ago, sometimes hard to breath, seems I can't do much, without running out of breath.
I'm 70, yeah lots of bad habits, smoke and drink.
Winter is coming, so time will tell.
Youngest son, an electrician, was working at DFW airport, re-working some of the terminals. Amazing what they will toss out the door, just because it's not new. So, the son brought me a 220/30 amp electric heater, he was told to toss in the trash. Had no...
Or rant?
Mallory dual point w/mechanical advance #2557801H. Found info stating if the H is in the #, simply means the distributor has YH type advance...the new, and improved??
Just commenting, on something I found, don't like, might or might not help others. My understanding is, there's other...
