It seems to be getting plenty of fuel. When it is running with pedal to floor the gas smell is overwhelming. It was a new Edlebrock carb when restored as well.
I have a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 engine, that I was driving home from a little cruise in a couple weeks ago. It was running fine as I took off, then when let off the gas, it died. It starts, but only when holding accelerator to the floor and it seems to be only running on 4 cylinders...
Well, got it running on Tuesday, alignment done on Friday, and was able to drive away from my wedding ceremony in it with my bride and stepsons. Have a couple gremlins to work on, but are they truly ever "done".
It was a great feeling on Friday. It was the first time in YEARS that was at the body shop and they couldn't tell me one single thing for a needed parts list. I think it must be VERY close to being done. LOL
Very close, just need to finish hooking all the wires, lines, and hoses up in engine compartment. Double and triple check every nut and bolt. Double and triple check all the fluid levels. Hope it runs and chase down any gremlins that surface when starting. Then it's just get an alignment and...
I am looking at inner fender rear splash shields for my 69 charger. I see some listed with bracket and some without. I am curious to know why the ones without the bracket are typically more then the ones with the bracket. Can anyone give me reasoning or pros/cons to either one? Thanks
Well, finally got the engine rebuilt, it and transmission painted and installed, headliner installed, dash installed and some glass and trim installed. Hoping to bring it to life sometime in the next week. I get married in Sept. and am really shooting for being able to drive off with my wife...

All I have left for sale is 1 passenger side door and 1 front valance. $100 for the door, $40 for the valance. Prefer not to ship, but possibly would with buyer paying the cost.
