Made some passes a few weeks back. Best time 10.80@121mph and 60 foot at 1.51 in a 4000lbs steel body, stock interior 64 Sport Fury. Stock suspension except for SS leafs and calvert shocks.
Engine is a 440source stroker
TF240 heads
Tunnelram with dual 950 cfm brawler race carbs.
Cam is a Howard...
607hp at 5300 with a single plane intake and one carb and valvefloat at 5300.. changed springs, tunnelram and haven’t dynoed it after that. Shifts at 6200 and revlimit at 7K. It’s a nice cruiser
And BOOM! It’s fixed!! That summit starter was insane!! The engine spins so fast i’m almost in shock . 11,6cr and a heavy stroker bottom end was nothing. Didn’t think that it was that amount of difference from a stock Denso starter from newer Chrysler engine. It had the same exact dimensions...
There is much more to a sweet exhaust note that just mufflers. Here is two shots of my 1964 Plymouth Sport fury
My recepie:

11.6:1 CR
Howards Mech camshaft 260/264 dur @.050, 0.620/0.661 Lift

I have the same problem except that min will turnover but very slowly, after it has been cooled down it works fine.. And in my setup it can´t be heatsoak to the starter since i run fenderwell headers and it has been working for over a year then all of a sudden. Got a new starter in the mail...
Ichanged all my wires to a 0awg cable from the battery to the starter and up to the starter relay. Still had the issue, took the starter appart and it was very dirty and black on the cupper connectors, the commutator was also very black and had some oil on it, also only found that 3 of the...
Think i found the issiue yesterday.. The transmission was loose and there was a gap between engine and trans at the starterside. One bolt was missing, the one above the starter and everyone else was loose including the ground strap. Don´t know why it got loose and lost a bolt, i´m 100% sure...
I have the same issue, It just came out of the blue, When i try to crank it when hot at the gas station for example, it hardly turns over but if i keep cranking it it runs faster and faster then fires right up. I´ve tried a new battery, removed the main switch. Checked the starter relay, and the...
I do run the crane adjustable rockers, i don´t see why the opening velocity should be higher with a non rollertip compared to a rollertip, if i use the same ratio on both rockers. Could you please explain in more detail?
Update: Got the heavy car to the track last sunday and did some laps. This winter i swaped the Trickflow singleplane intake to a tunnelram and dual Brawler 950 race carb... And got a new set of 29,5" slicks. It went 10.80@124 and a 1.50-60-Foot. Still bone stock body and interior. Stock rear...
Thank you! So i guess stock 73-up A/E-body spindles will fit :) Order a kit will be to expensive due to overseas shipping and customs fee and currency exchangerate at the moment.
Hi everyone! I have a 64 Sport Fury with single circuit 10" drumbrakes in front... And i want to convert the fronts to discbrakes. Is there any spindles that fit from a newer mopar or do i have to go for a conversion kit? The car runs 10 sec passes on the 1/4 so i think i need decent brakes....
Apperantly my old ’64 plymouth starts to go fast and i’ll probably in need of a rollbar. Anyone have any good pictures of a sweet setup. Want to keep my interior as stock as possible and want to keep the rear seat. So just shoot all your rollbar pics and insprire me!
Holy f**k never thought i would be writing in this thread... after many years of running 14 to mid 13 sec runs... But with a new mill it went 10,97!

Yes but i also have more cui than that test engine, and bigger needs more. So even if the heads have pretty good flow maybe they don´t have the area enough to flow that amount of air that my cui needs.
