I have been driving my 2009 5.7 LX hemi swapped 73 RR for a few months and must say, I love driving again!! Lately I have found headlights are “surging” or dimming in time with the engine as it hunts a little up and down at idle... it’s not hunting bad just like the alternator is kicking on or...
Thank you! I was trying not to use a reducer but it has crossed my mind! I actually had just found them in mega part’s Site and ordered them. I also got a new connector to Rewire my headlight harness. Their prices seem really good!
I was checking out pictures and was like, wait... that's an LS!
I appreciate the awesome work you're doing, I was waiting to see the backlash after that picture! I have a Gen 3 in my car but I also have an LS swap in my C-10 and will be doing many more LS swaps in the the future, and...
In my 73 Satty turned RR Clone, I used the factory AC and the late model Gen 3 parts. Here is a rough list of parts I used.

New reproduction AC Evaporator (I think you're...
I had heard that as well and did a bunch of reading, a lot of guys have had success running it just like it is. So I'm going to try it. The fast ratio I'm sure would be awesome but this project has greatly eclipsed my budget already! lol I wish I could find out what the ps pump is that...
If you look at my build thread and you want to do some fab work, you can run a factory p/s box with a low mount car compressor by cutting the motor perches off the k-member, flipping them backwards and indexing them off he rear mount. Then just cut your spools off the motor mount and move them...
So from my swap here is a bit of help, hopefully...
Windage trail from Milodon is a decent buy... It keeps the oil from sloshing and is supposed to preserve a pony or two when rough driving. I bought it and installed it...
I would go through and mock up your harness and make sure all of the...
Fabricated an air box to keep heat out of the cold air intake from 19 ga steel.

Wow... that's awesome! What rear gears do you have? and if you had to do it over again would you run something different or keep them the same? I live in town and will really only travel long distances on vacation, etc...
So moving on, Nathan calls and says the Buick is done can I have the car at his place the next day. Fast forward to:
and 24 hours later, the 2009 5.7 Hemi with 50k miles has been placed back on its rightful perches atop its throne of a k-member! Everything had already been mocked up and...
So this is the point in the story where things take a turn for our hero... I had put tape on a section of the rear quarter where the rear bumper was going to protect the paint. When I lifted the tape, some of the paint came with it. I'm not sure why, but the paint didn't stick in that section...
I got the bumpers where I wanted them but they had several years of dings and dents in them so I decided to paint them. Now I know the purists will not like them but, hey I do, and its mine!
So it got a full shave job and the bolt heads got deleted!
Front:
And Back:
After...
Aaaannnndddd, I'm back at it! So here is what has happened:
The stock '73 bumpers were the first year of the wonderful new DOT standards that required the 5mph crash bumpers, so I thought they stuck out way further than I liked. So I brought the back bumper in about 1.25 inches and the front...
I had a bit of slump for a minute and stopped to LS swap a '77 C10 for my 16 year old son, It is an absolute blast to drive. Then I had to wait on my friend Nathan to finish his swap in his sick twin turbo 52 Buick before we could park mine on the lift! So starting last week have been putting...
