Have a rebuilt 318 in my 65 Coronet. Been fighting a stalling problem for some time now. I can drive it just fine and can sense when it's going to stall and will adjust fuel pedal accordingly. But when my wife drives it she stalls it often. I can live with it, but she's going to fry the starter...
So what do you guys think about the GPM change, the 51515 is good for 7-9 GPM
The high volume oil pump says it flows 25% more, that would be about 2 more GPM

i am looking for a Thompson Federal power steering pump with reservoir. Its for my 1965 dodge coronet with the 318. Let me know if you have one laying around, i am mostly after the reservoir, but would take the whole thing, new used old bad, whatever you got. Thanks

Looking for some advise here
I rebuilt my engine in my 1965 dodge coronet, 318 with a high volume oil pump, with the 4 extra holes drilled in the oil filter mounting plate.
Would i need to change the oil filter type for the high volume oil pump?
The parts stores says stock filter is 51515...
You know another thing I noticed on re assembly I found a big ball of radiator leak stop in the water jacket, looked like a turd, I wonder if some of that is changing the color. I guess I will have to flush her out real good
Everything is stock, fresh rebuild on the 318, stock cast iron intake manifold, two barrel holly carb which I believe is stock it's a remanufactured. I'm starting to think more and more it's just time for a rebuild...last trans fluid and filter change there was more than normal black grey...
Ok guys so on my 65 dodge coronet I have a 727 a in it and I adjusted everything by the book and I still can't get the kick down gear to work, when you get on the gas it's supposed to down shift to get you moving, also when your in drive and coming to a stop it doesn't automatically downshift...
ok so this isn't just a o ring, its a much like a lip seal without the steel spring, the SO13 is a 1/2" od so that doesn't work, what else can i try

hmmmm very interesting....i have a cast iron water pump, aluminum timing cover. how do i know i got the right engine balancer, no one has any to sell...when they start to wobble a lot does that mean they are going bad?
