Ended up welding the center holes in the perches, and redrilled them so the axle got straight under the car. The front segment of the passenger side ss spring is ½" longer than the driver side.

I'm aware of the different front hangers.
The car used to have the 1" extension front hangers together with ss springs. I have moved the springs 1/2" to the rear from this position.
Thinks the axle sits a little to far back, or maby not, it's pretty much in the center of the wheel opening now...
Just finished mini tubbing and relocate the springs on my 64 belvedere.
Moved the axle back about 1/2 inch, but I kind of think it looks odd, or is my brain just messing with me.
Tires are 29x15r15

Will have 16.5" from frame to fender lip. I can cut down the lip some if needed for even more clearance.
Tires are crazy expensive to get to Sweden these days so just wanna do this...
No daily, just car meets, weekend warrior and 2-5 drag racing events per year.
Just changed torque converter for this season, went from 3000 stall 11" hughes to custom built 9.5". Better trap speed and even better on the street than the hughes tq.
Best 60 on a prepped track was 1.68 back in 2021.
Only raced 2 Times this year (non preped).
So I haven't played around so much with shift points
I've set the rew limiter at 6400, but it sounds and feels like the limiter hits around 5800rpm.
Might be not enough springs for this cam that causes...
The 4.10 and new larger tires will hopefully lower my 60 foot, just curious if the single plane might help me or if I just should stick with the rpm intake at this power level.
Will be putting a d 60 with 4.10 gears in it this winter together with 28" slicks.
It already has 3 way front shocks, ss springs and Calvert single adjustable shocks in the rear.
