Small update; I have been working on the charger from time to time between family issues and working on everyone else's car's. Mainly i have been welding up unnecessary holes and openings in the engine bay and have removed the lower driver's side quarter panel for replacement. now that i have...
no one to my knowledge makes a swap mount kit...though it wouldnt be too hard to make your own. just use some steel plate and the urethane spool style mounts. best of luck
this is exactly what i was planning to do with my 1974 charger....use a tank from a '73 with the aeromotive in tank efi pump assembly. be sure to post up plenty of pics when get it in there :)
my car didnt come with those trim options, i am just gonna use what it did come with, which was the fender mounted turn indicators, wheel opening trim and drip rail moldings. i'm not looking for an exact tribute or clone of the car, just something reminiscent of it :)
i say keep the 440! i am in the process of building a tribute version of your car! mine is going to look like the "hero" car (with a couple of trim extras like wheel well moldings and fender mounter turn indicators), but be powered by a mildly modded 440/727. i joke with my friends that it would...
Got several of the small parts sandblasted and coated in por15. Also fully scrubbed my plastic interior panels and began spraying them with duplicolor adhesion promoter and then their gloss black interior spray paint/dye...turn out ok, we will see how they hold up over time. I will likely end up...
so another question, i see on some other posts that many complain that their lca pivot pins dont fit right in the poly pushings, and that ff make "special" greasable pivot pins for use with poly bushings...did you guys use these or your factory pivot pins...
haha i was gonna do mine in sassy grass green or plum crazy, but then i watched the show on netflix and fell in love with the car...but i want 440 power and a black interior ('cuz white interior + 4 kids = bad idea/maintenance headache) BB70Charger500 has been an immense help already with my...
i am open to hearing how your car is set up :P
my tribute will appear like the burn notice car from the outside save mine will have a black interior, and mine will also have some of the trim his didn't, like the fender turn indicators, wheel opening trim, drip rail trim, and mag 500 wheelin...
So i am in the midst of restoring/ building up my 1974 Charger and i need some advice and opinions on the front suspension. i have the entire front end disassembled on my shop floor and i am not sure what in all i should do. My goal with this car is to build a burn notice "tribute" car but with...
Thanks guys, heading into the shop today to try and make headway stripping the engine bay and inner fenderwells of paint and undercoating so I can continue seam welding and then coat everything in por15. But it's slow going using a 4" angle grinder and a wire wheel :/ pics later today or...
Happy fathers day to all my fellow mopar dads and grand-dads! small update...i have not made a lot of progress with the charger due to some family health issues, but that should be changing this week...i hope :P since i couldnt make it across town to work on the car, i brought the car to me...or...
hmm, i didnt notice any dimples in the floor when i was in there last, but i wasnt really looking either. i'll chaeck it out next time i am at the shop working on the car. thanks :D
i was curious if anyone out there has any idea about who makes the best bolt on 1969 1/2 six-pack hood scoop? I see several that are tape on or mold in, but i think a bolt on would be better, no? going onto a factory steel 1974 charger hood if that matters.....
long story short, the shop space i am renting for the restoration of my 1974 Charger is gonna be sold in about 6 months and i will have to move the charger back home into my small garage. therefore, i have until then to bang out as much as possible. my goal is to get it fully painted and on...
man, keepat, this build makes me wanna throw away my tools and scrap my 1974 burn notice clone project and never touch another car again! you rock! cant wait to see this car completed! cheers :)
hey man, no sweat, i know what it can be like to have to shuffle stuff around just to be able to get to it :p honestly i am contemplating fixing my 74's rear bumper and modifying the brackets...all the 71-72 bumpers/brackets i have seen are all over $500 and need re-chroming....wish there was a...
