    A Proper Intro

I stumbled back across this thread and thought I would provide a little bit of closure. The summer after high school I worked at an auto shop that raced Miatas on the side. I got hooked on the idea of having my own little go kart from the street. It was quite the dramatic shift for me, and high...

Like I said in the post above, since I went to college I haven't visited the site. I have still been doing stuff here and there while I'm home. I'll try to update the best I can with everything I've done since my last post to the best of my memory. I went to Carlisle in 2016 and picked up a...

    A Proper Intro

Hey, sorry I haven't been back on the site since I went to college despite continuing my project during breaks. I got the 9.25 from a friend who picked it up at Carslile under the impression that it was a Dana. So I have no clue what it came out of. I did not have to move the perch mounts or...

The drips from the radiator don't worry me anymore. But I do have a story. I went cruising with a friend today. I had just pulled off the highway and was going up a hill and i feel the car sputter and die. I pulled over to the side of the road just past a driveway and turned on my hazards. My...

I'm not sure. Where would I look for any part numbers? When I had the engine out I flushed out the radiator with water until only clear water came out. I never had any problems with overheating before.

I believe I have a 190 degree thermostat. The radiator is a 26 inch that came with the car when I bought it. The fins are in good shape. All I did was cleaned it up and hit it with light paint to make it look nice.

Well then I'll give it a shot. Most of the time I'm around town unless if I'm out cruising to a show.

    A Proper Intro

After I parked today I noticed a steam of drops leading to under the car. The radiator overflow (I have it routed to the ground like back in the day) is dripping a decent amount. It is 75 degrees out with a real feel temperature of 82. The car was running at 200 degrees. I don't have a radiator...

    Sway Bars

Another option would be to look at firmfeel but I have pretty much completely ruled them out due to the extreme price increase from the other options. Any other comments on Hellwig vs ADDCO?

    Sway Bars

I posted this exact thing in my build thread (http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/a-proper-intro.112011/) with no replies. I figure someone might have some better ideas here. On the topic of sway bars.... I'm looking at either ADDCO reproductions from Classic or the more expensive...

Everyone I spoke with said that 3.23s are the perfect gear. Personally, I would like to go to a 3.50 something gear but only if I get a gear vendors overdrive as well.

3.23s are a dream on the highway. I can kickdown a gear and pass anyone without a problem

On the topic of sway bars.... I'm looking at either ADDCO reproductions from Classic or the more expensive but a little beefier Hellwig Motorsports tubular bars also from Classic. Does anyone have any experience with either of those/advice in terms of sway bar thickness? Another concern of...

Yesterday was a good day. I went to a Mopar focused birthday party and then we all cruised to a bar. I watched over the cars while the adults partied. My pay was getting to drive the black 1971/1972 Roadrunner GTX in the pictures I'll post below. The car has the side markers of a 71 but the rear...

New cable is in. I love driving my car so much.... In other news, I went to Musclepalooza on Sunday which was an amazing time. That was my first time at a drag strip and needless to say I just want to go back. The whole time I was wondering what my car would run. I like the number 12 (even if...

The new shifter cable came in today. Looks pretty good. I'm waiting on a heat shield type of sleeve to come too otherwise I'd install it right now. I'm going to wrap the cable in heat tape, put the sleeve over it and secure that with more heat tape. Then strategic zip ties will be put into place...

A quick update. I parked my car yesterday and then realized I could have backed up a tiny bit more. When I went to put the car back in reverse, nothing happened. I could feel the difference in the shifter (prior to buying the car someone installed a B & M Shifter). Today I pulled the cable out...
