Steering very loose, anyone know how to adjust power steering gear?

I have tons of slop in my steering. I can turn the input steering shaft on the steering box quite a bit before it even starts to turn output shaft. Does anyone know how to adjust the slop out of these steering gears? I tried doing the cross shaft adjustment per the Chiltons manual by...

Anyone ever run twin turbos on Mopar BB?

Just wondering... A friend and I were throwing the idea around. Two smaller turbos as opposed to one big one so they spool up faster, much lower cost than roots blower (or even centrifugal kit) because much of it can be made yourself, no cuts in the hood either and no pulleys or...

Anyone have advice on passing emissions inspections

Now that I have my car all together, I have to take it for safety and emissions checks before I can register and license it. Here is Utah 1968 and newer cars have to be inspected. I knew I should have never moved here... :black_eye: For the safety inspection everything has to work...

The latest pics of my 68 Charger project

Just a few more things to work out and it should be ready for safety inspection and registration... I am getting very anxious to drive this thing after 13 years of working on it (intermittently of course :)). Sorry, some of these pics I already posted in the intro section, but wanted to post...

Need pic of 68 reverse light switch please

Here is a pic of the reverse light switch assembly on my 68 Charger. The switch is in place, but it looks like there is a rod or knob or something missing on the steering column that is supposed to stick out and push the button as the gears are selected. Can someone please take a quick pic...

    Oiling -vs- non-oiling pushrods

Can someone please explain oiling -vs- non-oiling pushrods? I am thinking the difference is the holes in the ends of oiling pushrods, but just want to confirm. Also, can oiling pushrods be used in non-oiling application such as BB Mopar? Thanks,

    Where to get headlights

I am just wondering where everyone gets replacement headlights for their 60s - 70s B bodies (round 5.75" - I believe). We used to be able to get them anywhere for about $10 bucks. Now I am not finding them. The original part numbers show as 4001 and 4002 for the headlights in my book (for a...

I guess the guys at Hooker didn't plan on us steering.

I don't know what to do now... After taking almost my entire engine compartment apart, lifting the engine, removing the right side torsion bar, and having to take the entire top of the engine apart to drill out two broken off exhaust manifold studs... I finally have my new Hooker headers...

New headers = Can o' worms

So, I decided to install headers for the first time... man, I hope they are worth it. Anybody ever have the old exhaust manifold studs break off flush with the heads. Yep, I had one break off on each head. The rear most stud on both sides. After mangling one of them by trying to drill...

Wanted driver's side headlight buckets for 68 Charger

I need driver's side inner and outer headlight buckets for 68 Charger. Other similar year b bodies will work. Don't need the rings or adjustment hardware, just the buckets (with the screws for the rings if possible). "Driver" condition would be great, this is not a show car. Thanks,
