440 Source Rods - How tight?

As said earlier, take the pistons, rods and pins to a machine shop and have them fitted. A couple years ago I was helping a friend of a friend start a fresh 235 Chevy. Got everything dialed in and engine running smooth. Started breaking in the cam and the RPM began to drop till she stopped...

    Backspace question

Just keep in mind that my Charger is a 66. 66 and 67's have a massive amount of room for wide wheels and tires. Your experience on your 68 may be different.

    Backspace question

I went with the 15x10 cop Stockton's with a 5" backspace on the rear. Factory cop wheels on the front. Tire size on.rear is 295/50/15 and 235/60/15 on the front.

    Backspace question

I don't think the 5.5 backspace would work. I ended up ordering the 5" backspace 10" Stockton's. They sit centered in the wheelhouse and do not rub. They are close with not much room for error It looks like it should have looked from the factory.

    Really?

I believe demand for old cars, hot rods, motorcycles and custom bikes has dropped and will continue to decline. As was said earlier these new cars have massive horsepower, torque, unbelievable comfort, impecible handling. They are simply hard to beat. Many millenials see old cars as old...

    Tire size

I respectfully disagree and let me explain. From the context of his comments he already has a very good idea on what he wants. If he is sticking with the 14 inch wheels, and it appears he is, he can't really go wrong on tire sizes. The wheel houses on these cars are massive He does not need to...

    Tire size

Look around at other people's rides on the web. Go with you gut and you can't go wrong. I never cared for 14 inch wheel look on these cars. The body looks huge in comparison to the tiny wheels. I like your idea of going with the largest 14 inch tire that will fit. You are on the right track...

    Spark plugs

I am currently running Champion RJ12YC. That said, after seeing the NGK's that come out of the wife's Jeep (5.7 Hemi),I will likely use them the next go around. The factory copper core Hemi plugs are supposed to be changed around the 30k mark. I pulled NGK's (thought they all came OE with...

    Is it possible

On Chevy's the fuel pump rod will knock like a rod when the return spring breaks in the fuel pump. Don't know if this can happen on a Mopar but assume it could?

    Tranmission cooler line routing

Got it. They are not fun to do with the engine in the car. I see why the previous owner bailed out and used rubber hose.

    Tranmission cooler line routing

Hello everyone. Would someone have some pics of the transmission cooler line routing for a 66 B Body Mopar (66 Charger)? It is a factory big block car with a TF 727. My lines were missing (had rubber fuel hoses). I ordered new ones from Mancini but would like a general idea on how they were...

I would like to get some fullsize pics of your schematics. This is something I would like to do. Looks slick as as all get out and it keeps it analog. Would you shoot me a PM and I can give you a email address if that is cool? Thanks for sharing. Impressive work!

    440 Piston vs. Rod Orientation?

Question on the oil squirt holes. Does oil push around the rod bolt then out the hole? The photo makes it appear the oil path would be through the rod bolt? Surely that is not the case.

No crank condition; sort of long story

I think your next step in to verify power at the small wire on the starter. Also make sure you have a good ground at the starter. That small Your probably going to need a buddy to turn the key to verify voltage. I don't know how it is wired through the neutral safety switch so I not much help...

    Thieves Caught Red (Bloodied) Handed

Razor blades......amateur. LOL. Put a 130 Candela fire alarm strobe next to the cooler. Wired to a pressure switch under the cooler and supplied with 24VDC. Move the cooler, the strobe flashes and the perp is blind for awhile. Running around screaming and not knowing where he or she is at...

    Rear spoiler placement

Just watched an episode of graveyard cars today. They had a 1966 Hemi Charger they were picking over. It may have been an actual Nascar edition. One of like 80 something. I noticed the mounting area for the spoiler is pretty thin. Even thinner when you factor in the countersunk mounting...

    Rear spoiler placement

I'm still interested in a aluminum version. Classic Industries say they have some 'coming soon' . It was like 700 bucks. Bryan, I am assuming it will be one of yours. What kind of price will you be asking for the reproduction aluminum spoiler. I'm in no hurry at this time so waiting is not...
