I was watching some cable show and a company on one of those car shows like Count's or something else and they referenced some company that makes OVER 600 cubic inch Big Block Mopars, I think it was a 640. I can't find any reference to anybody building RB's that big online anywhere...Anybody see...
I want it all gone, I don't want to part it out. Somebody needs this stuff, I am not trying to get rich. I just want it to go to a good home. Make an offer for all of it?
Seats
Now that I think about it, these seats and console are out of a 65 Monaco. They have been in the basement for 25 years. This is the first time they have been touched in many years. The console compartment is is cracked, I'm sure that it can be fixed. The wicker on the back of the front...
Yes, I have all of those parts. They are not in perfect condition, they are almost 50 years old. This is a really old post...you still looking for Polara seats and console?
3:23's, you ever hear of them before? Try and find them now (for a Mopar). Why can't I find new 3:23 gears to rebuild my diff??!! I am tearing down my 8 3/4 and cannot find new 3:23 gears for it WTF?? I can buy like a hundred 40 round clips for an AK but no matter how much I look, I can't find...
Timing your Big Block comes down to one major point, accuracy. The first thing you need to do is verify TDC. These old dampeners have a 40+ year old dried out old rubber ring that breaks and slips, moving the factory timing marks to unusable locations and you guys are trying to use them...We...
A guy at the marina recently turned me on to StarTron fuel additive. It is what a lot people are using to counteract the effects of the bad gas we have now in their boats and other small engines. I put one ounce of it in my Civic, that normally gets 39 mpg per tankful, and I got 43.18 mpg on...
"Vacuum Retard"
Dextron is not Dextron it's Dexron. I have been saying Dextron for years too. Vacuum advance... isn't. The vacuum supplied to the distributor retards the timing so you can start the engine and get a better idle. It is NOT vacuum advance, the advance is by mechanical weights. The...
Timing
Your distributor needs to be connected to manifold vacuum, make sure there is vacuum there at idle (NOT ported vacuum, which is negligible at idle and increases with rpm). Next you need to find and mark TDC on the balancer and buy a timing tape. The tape is like $10 from Summit or...
OK, RP for sure, 72, 400 with AC, front disc brakes, and these wheels.. I have had people tell me they are from GM!! HAH! Kinda hard to explain the Chrysler symbol stamped into the back of them..What are these wheels called?? No one knows...they look just like cop wheels but no nub to hold the...
I have one, it was in completely usable shape (black) until mice decided to eat a corner of the cover, I am sure the frames are fine. Did you find one yet? Let me know and I will send you some pics. It is out of my 70 Charger.
I have a 72 Sebring Plus I am restoring and I am finding that nobody thinks this car is worth anything as a Satellite. It is a premium price class car, factory it has disc brakes, a 400, air conditioning, rear defrost and what seems to be very rare wheel option. They are the wheels with trim...
The "stall speed" of a converter is a function of many things. The description of a 2500 RPM converter is misleading. Look at Mopar Performance converters as a reference. They are rated as 120/145/175K. 120 being stock in the 11-12" range and the 175K being about a 10" unit.
