    1966 Charger Dash -> 1968 Charger conversion - Anyone?

Hey "B-Buddies" As there aint no forum here for "Retro-mod's".. I will post my question here instead..! I know it's probably a lotta work, but always thought of trying this, as I have always been impressed by the electroluminescent cluster of 66/67, and somewhat less impressed by the ones, in...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Hello again First, thanks to you all for contributing with knowledge and advise.. Fantastic! :thankyou: The monster roars again.. but there was little to NO logic, in the steps taken to get there! Before doing anything, I tested the pulse / trigger issue with the 8546 distributor. It turned...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Thanks a lot Dan :-) I am 98% aware of the basic system ignition design, but what puzzled me the most, (besides the car not starting), was the introduction of "modern parts" such as the MSD 8546 distributor.. I was not sure of it still operated with plain out shorting the trigger cables, or if...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

To much work to try anything today.. But will make several tests / solutions based on your input. Thank you all SO much! Will post a description, of whatever the solution was, when he/she/it is running again! About the critical points, I only measured NO power at the coil, but I...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Thanks Leo That's interesting.. The ballast resistor has been there all along! I bought it installed like that, and I just adapted the existing setup to my new harness. But, as the MSD box failed the test, I was now trying to go for the original Chrysler ECU. All ground's has been verified as...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Thnx.. I tried to hook up the 8546 to a multimeter (set to beep), to the distributor "pulse-wires", and NOTHING happened. Unfortunately, I dont have another distributor to test. (PS: Cute dog!) :)

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Thanks man !! I do have some additional Chrysler ECU's as back-up, as I have had some "give up" before.. (From Rock Auto.. probably not AAA+++ quality, but they usually work).. The one on the Charger now, is not the cheapest one I could get.. it's blue, and looks like OK quality.. but looks can...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Thanks for your help! Yes, the original 2-connector ballast resistor is still on the car, and connected to the two lower (dual wire) in the M&H harness.. This setup ran before, with the MDS box. I will check the power situation tonight.. The Charger is stranded in a friends garage, and he's at...

My Charger lost it's spark.. and I'm running out of ideas.. :'(

Hello Mopar friends I am having some problems with my beloved 68' Charger. Everything looked...

Legendary's "optional" 68 Charger Rallye buckets

Thanks a lot! I plan to do it perfectly, but despite the good intensions, you never know what's gonna happen. Time and pic's will tell.. :-D I have little upholstery experience, but I do have two kids, and a sofa with 100% wool cusion covers, which means lot's of wrestling with the covers...

Legendary's "optional" 68 Charger Rallye buckets

Good starting point, but I think I need to drive more "safe".. coz I am always wearing them belts.. but they don't seem to help me much.. I have the stock 2-point lap-belts, and actually, they need to go aswell, as they are very "tired", (and very blue..). Thnx for mentioning them. I bought...

Legendary's "optional" 68 Charger Rallye buckets

Don't think so.. they don't appear when searching for 69 upholstery.. :-( But if you are changing the rear bench to, you could just go all 68, but someone will probably comment.. ;-)

Legendary's "optional" 68 Charger Rallye buckets

They DO look nice, and I could do without the work of assembly... But of course, Legendary save time selling them like a DIY kit, and can sell them cheaper, and I really "need" them to match the rear bench... ;-)

Legendary's "optional" 68 Charger Rallye buckets

Hello good ppl's of the B-Persuasion I am constantly being ridiculed for the poor condition of the (blue) interior in my (white) 68' Charger, and while I may don't care to much abt it's "torn up condition", it's coming to at a, point where I have to do something. If not to the fix the interior...

Six Pack air filter case - Different types?

Thanks..! That was almost more information than I bargained for, ha ha.. but after a little I have come to the conclusion, that I can use any of the 3-carb housings, so I'll try to find the one of the "under hood solutions", I think looks the best.... This one:
