I´m trying to track down the origin of the large (think 3,5") dual alterator pulley, you find in some of the 60´s race engine applications.
Was it a pulley Chrysler spacifically made for racing? If so why a dual pulley?
Or could we find this pulley on an ordinary production engine, early sixties...
Someone experienced problems with a Mopar OEM 2780970 Aluminum Thermostate Housing.

When looking through old car magazines I see all these 426 Hemi Engines, but what would your guess be as to how many were pick from a car?
My guess is less than 10 %, maybe just a few, but you know better…
Maybe for the older Hemis it looked a bit different?

Back in the days some racers practiced not to incorporate dowel pins when using aluminum heads. To keep heads from cracking when they expand. 426 Hemi heads in this case.
Is this still a common practice?
