    headers or factory manifolds?

I would definitely use headers over stock manifolds. Just finish your steering project before you buy your headers. Its possible you may need to have a set made to fit your final steering project, or you may make out and find a set that drops right in. Good luck Dennis :-)

    Am I Missing Something?

There should be a female receiver for that to slip into, it helps with keeping your exhaust tips from bouncing around. My female receiver has a rubber insert inside. It's not hard to make your own, and any exhaust installer will have what your missing!!!

    Collector Car Insurance?

Haggardy Classic Car Insurance. I've had my 69 GTX insured with them for 8 years at an agreed value of $45.000. Towing is included, and they encourage you to drive your classic. I pay approximately $450.00 a year. Their a great company to deal with, and they've been around a long time!!!

For the Love for my Father, My 69 GTX Restoration

What a great story, I enjoyed reading how you and your dad worked togeather restoring the Charger, and as a 69 GTX owner I loved seeing his 69. I'm so sorry that he passed before his time, it's tough!! I lost my dad, my best friend, when I was only 26, and it's heartbreaking!!

    69 GTX Radio Bezel

The last thing I need to complete my dash is the wood grain radio bezel. As you can see in the picture, neither the radio or the bezel are correct. I have the correct radio, I just need the bezel. I would appreciate any help!!!

Thanks for your comment. My first X was also a 68 with a Hurst 4 speed. Messed up my left knee sold the 68, and found the 69 with a 727!!

Yes, it's street driven. I'd hate to put the money into the exhaust system, and then have the police tell me it's to loud, but I'm willing to take the chance!!

Has anyone tried the Flowmaster series 10 mufflers? Right now my 440 has glasspacks, and I want something louder. My last GTX had Flowmaster series 40 and they were just ok. Thanks for any information, Rod

Starting my GTX after it's set for one year.

Thanks for the well wishes. I've had 3 lower back surgeries, and unfortunately the all failed to fix the problem. It's more or less a spinal cord injury. I take it one day at a time, and thank the Lord I can still walk!! ☺
