90 degree down works for me (my 2 fat yellow wires in the pic), I had 135 degree boots on 5 & 7 to squeeze above the primary, but managed to burn them anyway (even with fiberglass boots)... grabbed a couple of used race wires I had with 90 degree boots and it clears the headers nicely running...
I've never needed to add anti-seize on any plug on any aluminum headed headed motor ever, on any brand car or any motorcycle... it's just not needed IMO, but hey, cover yourself head to toe in silver anti-seize until you look like the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz... hehe. And torquing a plug is...
Yeah I checked them out, they look good. They're your basic Anchor Industries stock-style rubber mounts, I have almost no engine movement at all footbraking it a little to see how much movement there is.
I noticed a small vertical crack on my trans crossmember so I pulled it off to weld it up only to discover that my brand new poly trans mount was also broken... then discovered that my small crack was nothing compared to my huge crack hidden behind my trans mount. The rear end, trans, and...
Does anyone know the actual dimensions or part #'s? About to buy a new damper (getting a Trickflow), and just in case my key is damaged, would like to order a new one too before I pull the old original damper... Seems there are both short and long and various other key differences. Thanks!
On my extensive list of work to do on my daily driver car (yes, my unrestored Coronet is my year round daily driver), one of my tasks is to rebuild my destroyed bench seats... but until I get to that point for now I just want a simple seat cover to cover my front bench seat, but I'm having a...
yeah I'm gonna pull it off this weekend and take her apart and see what kind of shape it's in... no point in not trying as it's of no use at the moment anyway, it's either beyond help or like yours, just needs some minor fixes... thanks RT
hey guys, my wiper motor died on my 67 4-dr Coronet 440 (318)... i tested it to make sure it wasn't an electrical input issue, and disconnected the arms to verify it wasn't a binding issue... even disconnected the 'parking' wires and just tried to get it to work, but the most it'll do is move...
anyone know where i can find them? I've found a few places online that have them for the 2-dr Coronets, but can't find anyone who has them for the 4-dr... They're a little pricey to want to risk getting the 2-dr versions and see if they'll cut down and work on my 4-dr. Anyone have any ideas? My...
those look great, actual ceramic shoes too. They don't seem to list the shoes alone for my car, only as a kit ('...in a Box'), but I would guess they might sell them anyway, I'll give them a call... Thanks 440+6!
I have a '67 Coronet 440 4-dr with a little 318, that has been my daily driver for the past 3 years... It has 4-wheel drums that use the little 10"x2-1/2" shoes. They don't last worth a damn, I pretty much replace the front ones every couple of months. Brakes otherwise work ok, I mean, they are...
