THANK YOU! You jock my memory I remember my friend telling me about repairing big truck semi frames sometimes he would see failed repairs for people use square edge steel not rounded edge cuz the frame rails were designed to flex. That also echoes a sentiment of improperly installed repairs or...
That's exactly why I decided to go pro touring to be the odd one out, to buck the trend to be different.
Well going back and reading through here. EdIt: granted I whent cool over rack an pinion
I've watched song bird when he did repairs/rebuilt gener mayhem after Chrysler gutted it and they managed breake a bunch of the spot welds.(granted it was gutted)
Sometimes he is an idiot but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Picked up some decent tips and occasionally makes some good...
the idea was to do it in the air and not on my back but, it would seem the only ...or rather a more practical way would to be on a 4 post lift rather than rotisserie. I didn't plan on removing any doors or glass but, the one video FROM RedLine Stands said that wasn't a good idea. as the glass...
well that saves me the time for figuring if there was room for 2 AGM batteries and or a small hidden subwoofer box. looks like possibly both could fit the battier got a bit further back in the trunk area. OR put the box end of the sub UNDER the rear deck lid kind of sort of like nissan did on my...
skimmed that really quickly. i have a very similar kit yes, even with "strut bars" welded from the frame rails to the fire wall there should still be plenty of room for headers with a rack and pinion but, the oil pan might not be happy about it. you need the stiffness up front to take the weight...

HEY MAN! They tried! You try building a car hung over on Friday or Monday...
I think my friend built on or modified one. had extra cross bars going across the bottom where you would get to the floor boards. makes sense for a convertible resto!
I have hard top that is getting underfloor frames rails and torq boxes etc etc. sounds like i should get something sturdy so...
Assuming it doesn't require a bunch of modding to use it, that top core support brace is nice. Seeing as you have some skills and a palpate I wonder if you would consider making and selling that top core support brace?
To get that big of a chunk of metal to be strong, thin and light!!! That's gotta be some bad *** strong metal and that's why it cost so much and cheaper wheels probably weigh more.
Nice work! I just got that same Be cool Rad or close to. I think it's the biggest one they sell and way bigger than stock, glad to know it works. I also got a Ron Francis kit too. Glad to see your setup is working out for you. :)
Any reasons everyone is running 9s in back and 8s up front, instead of 9s all the way around? Would the extra inch up front not making hard cornering better and make tire rotation easier?
i've ordered the willwood 13" brakes for up front possibly tempted to upgrade to 14" however i've noticed most I.R.S kits only had like 12" discs, would having bigger brakes up front vs the rear matter at all?
also if i get 14" brakes then i deffintley can't put the 17" OEMs on. i'm thinking...
