GetX'd, I clearly understand the chances a very slim on reuniting these papers with the car. But it's worth the post.
Car Nut, I did not go to school there.
I have original invoice and bank paper for my 1967 Ply Satellite VIN RP23-H71-144817. It was GG1 Green/Silver bottom, 383/4bbl, auto, 4:10 posi, road wheels, AM/FM. Purchased from Anacostia Chrysler-Plymouth Washington DC on 11/17/66. Later on had undash A/C installed. Traded in at Mount Vernon...
I'm really surprised that '67's, both Dodge R/T and Plymouth GTX are covered in any books. After all, they were the start up cars for serious marketing of horsepower. I guess i'll have to use my instinct. One last question. What is the absolute proof that the 440 sitting in the engine bay of a...
Guys, I'm back into the search for a "B" body car. In particular '67 GTX. Before I go too far I need printed material. I have been looking at 4 cars and there are differences, especially under the hood. What book/s are the B Body bible for this model? The ones that list all the numbers, pics...
The other forum (GM) i'm on, many guys only consider Diamondback. The other supplier and the "burn man" tires may or may not provide all the safety/quality that your life deserves. You get what you pay for.
66Satellite47, I have been raised on my Hurst Comp Plus in my '67 Vette and the precision of it has me hooked. So if I get a "B" body with a 4-spd, I want the same gear shifting feeling. Thanks for the info.
I'm looking at a '67 B body with the original 440/375 that has been rebuilt. I do not have the rebuild details at all. I don't know if mods were made. Assuming a stock rebuild, is 93 octane suitable for it? The car has a factory 4-spd/factory shifter. Is the factory linkage Mopar or Hurst? Last...
I can work on any Carter, AFB or AVS that's my comfort zone. If the deal goes down, a Holley may show up on the used carb market in the future. Thanks guys.
I can atest to the fact that colder/denser air improves combustion. Did this on my '67 Vette with the Big Block hood. Drew air from the back with a sealed breather and 4" element. Significant low end torque increase to the point of limited to no traction in first two gears. 327/4spd/3:36.
Interesting subject! I'm interested in an original '70 Charger with the 383/335HP and 727 trans. Have not been able to view the car yet. Would that engine/trans application have the HP manifolds with the larger outlets?
:thankyou:
The big question, what am I looking for? At present I'm looking at a '70 Charger 500, it has all the bells and whistles. This is a comfort ride. Performance wise, a basic B body with 383HP/4speed at a minimum. Next, a R/T or GTX 4-spd no A/C.
a Mopar person in the Salt Lake, Utah area to survey/inspect a car. Since I live on the east coast, I need to have a real good reason to fly west to personally check out the car. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I expect to compensate this person for their time and effort. No car like a...
I have been a car guy since age 5, owned Mopars during the '60's, but changed in '73 to another brand with a fiberglass body. I still own that '67. Now I want to put a Mopar back in the garage with the Vette. I have a serious interest in Chargers since I owned a '68. I do all my own work short...
