this car looked very similar to one that was in the showroom along with a blue/black vinyl charger R/T when I purchased my superbee in april of 68...Walla Walla, WA. ( I think that it stickered at $3,100). My bee is still original throughout. but I wished for the charger R/T... but did not have...

nice!... reminds me of the car that was in the showroom when I bought my 68 superbee...I would have purchased the charger, but did not have enough money in my pocket...I paid $3632 for the bee then, and have had it ever since...but still like the looks of the charger...enjoy it!

    car suddenly quits...fuel or ign?

I have a feeling that you may be right...at least on part of my problem (the hot re-starts)...after it sits for a day or two, it starts in the first 1/2 second. Not sure how to prevent that. I think that I'm going to try changing the coil(for the instantaneous shutdown problem).

    car suddenly quits...fuel or ign?

All the connections are tight. I did measure the current across the coil leads while it was running...started out at 3.5 v and gradually climbed to 4v. Isn't that low??...I thought it was supposed to be in the 8 to 10 range.

Thank you. I spoke with Steve @ Dewey... Later found-out that Prior in TX, charges less for the re-build , and I'm inclined to send it there. I'm not looking forward to the re-install though, after having so much difficulty in removing it.

Thank you...Just spoke with Rick @ Prior, and I'll be sending it to him. I just got the old one out...Perhaps I did not know the correct method, but it was a difficult job!!My hands and forearms are going to need some time to heal-up. I'm dreading the replacement job on the re-built unit. Any...

Thank you. When I purchased it, I wasn't crazy in love with the color...but after time (and a lot of wine)...I love it..The clearcoat over the original paint made a huge difference in the appearance, and it goes good in the desert background colors, Hah!

Thanks,...looks like you enjoy going fast. The GTX moniker was Chrysler Corp's best...and a good answer to GM's GTO ...these two, in my humble (and slow) opinion) are still the best two in modern automotive history.
