You have a spring relocation kit or tubs?
Had my Doubts about 305s but seems like you don’t have issue I definitely wouldn’t. what you running up front?
Thanks! The wheel I want comes in a 17x9.5 with 5.5 backspace. I get a tiny bit of rub over Certain dips with my 275/60r15.
I have a 255/50/17 planned for the front on a 17x8. What’s your fronts?
Curious to see if the 305/45/17 Nitto 555r2 s that I ordered are actually going to fit in the back of my 69 Bee with hotchkis leafs? Anybody have these on there cars? Photos ?
Do you have any pictures of these tires on your car. Looking at them for my 69 bee? Thinking a 17x9.5 rim with 5.5 back space. Do you know your rim specs?
what size tires do you have on those 17s. Thought I was good on this but company that sold me the rears I want just called to tell me they screwed up and don’t have them
Hallelujah!! Found what I needed after scouring the internet for them finally connected!
2x275/50/17 Nitto 555g2
2x255/50/17 Nitto 554g2
Appreciate the responses!
Yea you got it. Have been on tire calculators and searching tires online for a week now and feel like what I really want just isn’t going to happen. The car is lowered already.( believe hotchkis leafs drop it an inch or two) I’m pushing width trying to get more diameter out of 40 or 45 series...
Honestly just trying to get the right overall diameter and trying to avoid the side wall being too low profile. The type of tires you can get in 17”sizes are far superior to the 15” options.
Have a 69 superbee with suspension upgrades. Upgrades are more aimed at handling than drag. Full hotchkis TVS plus a bunch of other goodies.
Right now I run
15x7 4.25bs 235/60R15 front
15x8 4.5bs 275/60R15 rear
Looking to get into a better handling tire but don’t want to go to 18s. I do like...
Hey kern dog
Seeing your post makes me think I can fit a 275/40/17 on the front of my 69 superbee. What do you think? Any negative side to such wide tires in front?
Thinking
17x9.5 5.5backspce 275/40/17 front
17x9.5 5.5 backspace 285/40/16 rear
** rim is also available in a 17x8 4.5bs
Maybe...
Would the short have to be somewhere between alternator and starter relay or could it be anywhere? Battery to starter relay? Relay to starter? If the alternator wasn’t grounding through it’s case to the motor well could this cause the problem?
Thanks guys I will look it all over again wire is all brand new high quality wire. Correct fusable link protecting wiring into dash area and breaker for main feed from alternator. Crimped eyelets at alternator and starter relay crimped soldered and double heat shrinked. Will look for damage to...
I have a 1969 superbee with a 383. Bought car with Mopar electronic ignition but still running the original charging system. Upgraded to a dual field 95 amp alternator and post 70 voltage regulator setup. Ran this way for a year with no issues. Was informed at that point that the factory bulked...
Ok got it running! Actually best it has been since installing motor. So I had theses wires attached to upper terminals on the ballast resistor which I had to take apart for the motor guy to run it on a stand and didn’t remeber where they where before. Disconnected fans for now and moved wires to...
That seems to be what I’ve heard from allot of people guess I was lucky running it like that all last season. Fans just pushed it over the edge. Sucks car still won’t start must have fried something
No mechanical fuel pump. Yea I had a feeling my grounds where not up to par has a beat up stock negative cable to the power steering bracket and a cable from my aluminum head to the fire wall at the voltage regulator only. That is defiantly my next step. I have heard I should update the wiring...
