Can anyone tell me what the positions of the lever on the trans shift lever are? Is all the way forward Park? Or 1st? My trans is out of the car so I can’t just shift on my column to see. Any insight appreciated as always!
Ok here’s the deal. Among the many little things that challenge me every step of the way in the continual, and what appears to me, to be a life long restoration of my car, is now I seem to have lost whatever clip or retainer that is used to accept the bolt that attaches the emergency brake pedal...

Just wonder if there are panels or something that protect the engine compartment from dirt and stuff. I know about hood to radiator seal and hood to cowl. Just not sure how much those do for that and if there is something also that helps
Anyone have pics of the install of the gas tank pad? Just want to get placement correct. Pretty sure I can manage, but would like to see what others have done!
Has anyone swapped out their split bench front seat for something more modern that isn’t buckets, but bench style seating? I know they fold forward toward the center so not sure if there are aftermarket options available that fold in the same fashion. Interested to hear! Thanks all!
My GTX had been to the body shop and has all new metal and paint that looks amazing! Problem is, now they can’t find anyone to stand behind their work installing the new rear window gasket and and glass because “they’re known to leak”??? Is this really a thing?? Anybody else ever come upon this...
I have my 67 plymouth Belvedere II (GTX clone) at a body shop here in New England and they have installed the rear quarter extensions with just a plastic gasket that doesn’t appear to be a great finish look and makes me nervous about leaks as well. I was under the assumption they are only...
I will be getting my 67 GTX back from the body and paint shop soon. I’ve still got a fair amount of suspension and other work to perform and I’m looking for tips on keeping the body and paint well protected from accidents or otherwise while it is in my garage. I was thinking to wrap the whole...
Anyone ever give a pull on their steering wheel and had it slide towards you about 2”? It’s enough to startle anyone while they’re driving. I’ve never had any major issue that came of it but it feels like something that would be cause for concern. It seems to steer fine and is bolted into the...
After 16 years of ownership, my 67 GTX is finally getting the body work and paint she deserves. Problem is, I can’t find any new bumpers on teh interwebs. What gives? How can I put all brand new trim on this car with brand new paint and have my bumpers look like dog water? I can’t! Whum I spos...
How is this configuration attained? This is the stance I’d like for myself but I’m not sure how to go about it. My car is so much lower in the rear, in fact almost half my tire is below the fender edge at the wheel opening. How does one get that *** up nice and high like that???
So my engine is covered in yuck...now what.
I haven’t taken off the oil pan yet but I’m guessing it’s more of the same. Can I just spray it down with mineral spirits and then spray atf on stuff or what am I to do??? I really don’t want to remove the whole rotating assembly if I can prevent it..
Been some time since I’ve posted here, but I’ve got a situation I would like to bounce off you guys. Last year or so I discovered that my rockers were covered in greenish brown sludge. Of course since I’m writing this now I’ve obviously survived the cardiac episode I had upon that little...
i recently discovered green jello on my valve train and rockers and all over the valve covers. Although upon checking the dipstick, there was no evidence of the milk chocolatey horror of coolant in my oil. My first instinct was to think this was a blown head gasket, but compression was good on...
Carb and intake been on my car prolly 7yrs or so. Never once have i ever put anything but gasoline thru that carb. Carb cleaner was known to me, but I never put its use into practice. I guess my carb just didn't look like it needed it. Today with my exhaust problem partially fixed for the time...
My exhaust leak from my cracked pipe was getting really bad and I can't to get to a shop this week. This, and the fact that I don't have welding abilities yet has forced my hand into McDoogling in the worst way, my exhaust leak. I had to use aluminum cans, aluminum duct tape, and "Jose" clamps...
