To shroud or not to shroud...

You always want a shroud regardless. I run a 4yr old ebay aluminum radiator and I used an AM shroud. Made a huge difference than w/o

    Who Is Running 255 60 15 Front/Rear on a 71-2 Charger or B Body?

Anybody have pics, preferably side shots, of their rides running these? I have 215 70 on a 15x7 up front, 15x8 with 255 60 out back. Looking to go 255 60 on a 15x8 up front as well. Also considering 255 60 on 15x8 front and 275 60 on 15x8 out back. Pics please if you could. Any clearance issues...

    Intake Gasket Recommendations

I had to use all 4 soft gaskets with my valley pan using an aluminum intake. Had an Eddy intake and changed it several times. Thought is was the intake so bought a new Weiand for cheap and same thing. Decided to try all 4 soft gaskets with the pan as I've never had to before. Been fine for 2...

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

Yup! But is that stock with 400 stroke or 3.75 RB stroke?

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

I'll have to look again. I may have confused them with the 3.75 stroke pistons.

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

Yup! But, more just so that they are flat/square more so to gain compression. I don't wanna be shimming rockers and all that also that's what the KB's are for lol. The heads are actually on a running motor in my car now

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

That seems achievable with a steel shim!?! gasket. My next question is if I should have the block squared. I don't want to go too far on anything if not necessary. I'd like to keep it at 9:1. The heads will lose enough to make square at most. At this point I'm still on the fence on the rotating...

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

I plan on it being between 8.8 and 9.2:1 max with the KB pistons I plan to use, variables being how much to deck the block and headgaskets etc

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

Yeah if I did the 440 crank, I'll just hit 440Source up on that. For sure on the vitons when the time comes. As far as converters, I'll make some calls to those vendors mentioned. But Im probably leaning to just a basic rebuild and just bumping compression up. Appreciate it

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

Awesome thanks! This is a 400 stock stroke. POSSIBLY may go with a 440 crank but if I do it will be the 400 rods. Most would suggest 440 rods but, I know of a 400 set up like that and the torque is ridiculous. For now stock stroke 400

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

I been following. I'll keep an eye out for that. I used that cam about 15yrs ago with good results in a 440

    Help Choosing a Cam/Converter- 9:1(ish) Stock Stroke 400

This will be in a 71 B body, 3.55's. Running headers also, pretty much stock 452 heads with a little clean up, gasket match (not ported), basic 3 angle and a Weiand Action Plus intake. Ill be running power brakes. This will be mostly a driver, occasional track time once maybe twice a month...

    400 .040 over, 3.75 stroke, 400 rods, kb1274-40 silv o lites

Well, I could just stack a couple thick head gaskets together to get over the sticking out of the block issue and I can take a Dremel to the Piston skirts if that helps to not hit the crank.... of course I'm kidding though. Appreciate it guys, just a little disagreement I had with a buddy of...

    400 .040 over, 3.75 stroke, 400 rods, kb1274-40 silv o lites

For argument sake, ( yes, 400 with 400 rods and 440 crank), what kind of compression would this combination have? I don't think I'm using the calculators correctly. 1.6xxx isn't even close so I know Im doing it wrong or leaving something out. The 400 block would be squared at 9.980. CH on KB...

Removing and reinstalling a 53 year old headliner

If you can successfully remove the front section without damage you may be good if you can get the holes made from the anchors in the exact same spot. Pull only what you have to and gently. I would start in the middle and remove evenly and over a couple hours time IMHO
