Well today I pulled back the carpet on my 64 Polara too see how bad the rust is. I might be able to use just the front sections. What I need to know is how far back the panels go. I need atleast to the torsion bar bracket.
One thing to sheck with all rebuilt carbs is that the throttle shafts ar within specs. Any carb that either "I" rebuild or have rebuild is all flat areas are decked and see if the throttle shafts need to be bushed. Most Holleys and qjets have worn throttleshafts are worn and have bad vaccume leaks.
Wow what a mess that was.after feeding my airline and blower thru the whole cowl. Now I know where the heater a/c ir inlet is. Now to clean all the leaves out from there.
thanks guys. I have the drivers side splash shield off from just fixing the door hinges. man what a pain doing the alignment with the fender on. Might as well pull them both off and clean them up and do the cowl at the same time.
Im trying to find out where the drains are for my cowl. Are there opening under the fenders? I know my kids early falcon has nice big drain openings there.
Sounds like the kit im looking for my sons car but his is a ford.
