As an add-on to my other thread re:fusible link burnt, I have traced the problem to my new engine harness from Evans Wiring. After I sorted everything out in the engine compartment, I went under the dash and immediately saw that the power wire was melted at the bulkhead. I pulled the bulkhead...
Today while my car was idling, the fusible link caught on fire and burnt up. I understand that it did it’s job, I’m just not sure why now???
I’ve had the car running for a few weeks now, just tuning and idling. Yesterday I took it on a short road test. No problems. When I tried to start the car...
I've replaced all the wiring harnesses with either M&H or Evans harnesses. When I hook up the battery I get the oil and brake light on the dash but no dash lights, no heater fan, no interior lights and no ignition power. I do have headlights and tail lights, emergency flashers, turn signals...
Looking for some helpful tips for buying 8 3/4 rears. I have a line on a 714 case 3.23 Sure Grip. From the pics it looks to be in good shape but I don't know much about Sure Grips. Is there anything I should look for to ensure that it's as the seller says? Is there a way to check that the Sure...
A buddy has a 3.91 741 case center section that I am thinking about buying. I believe it is a small pinion, but not sure how to tell. The only issue is that it isn't a Sure-grip so I'll need to buy a True-Trac or something similar. My driveshaft is small pinion (both ends have a taper). The...
I’ve been looking for TTI headers for my 440 but they are back ordered til late August. The only one’s available are 2” primaries with 3.5” collectors. I was looking for 1 7/8” primaries. Are 2” primaries too big? My engine is 450 hp/528 lb-ft with 2.5” exhaust.
What is the difference between the big block and small block Saginaw pump? Is it just the pulley?
Turns out I have a small block pump and the pulley doesn’t line up. Can I just buy a new pulley or do I need the pump as well?
I bought a new dash harness and found out that they are just a basic harness and didn’t include wiring for any extra options like headlight buzzer, light delay etc.
I’ve gone through the wiring diagram and have chased down most of it but I am stumped by these:
The red wire is for the cigarette...
How do I determine which regulator is driver side and which is passenger side? When I removed them I didn’t realize they were different. The only number I can find is EM 47 on one, but haven’t been able to find out anyplace.
I’m getting my dash assembly finished and my old harness had these two flashers? Regulators? Relays? I’m not sure what these are. The second one looks like a horn relay but I already have one mounted by the horns.
I've been searching but can't find any details on what radiator I have. The two number son the tank are: 4140137 and 20446 (or 8?). It's a 26", outlet on the top driver side and inlet lower pass side. I'm pretty sure its out of a C body.
After doing some research on here I am still confused about which alternator I need. There was no original to use as a reference
Single wire or two wire?
Single groove or double groove?
How many amp? 60? 75? 90? 110? Can you have too much amps?

I'm adding the in-dash factory tach in my Coronet and am wondering where the tach wire passes through the firewall. Any pics with location/hole diameter would be appreciated. My search on here didn't turn up anything.
Since I had to strip the doors completely for painting, I am cleaning up/restoring everything.
I inadvertently cranked the regulator too far and it came out of the gear rather quickly. I thought I broke my finger!!! Anyway I’m trying to fix it but can’t seem to get the coil spring tight enough...
