One more question Don. Did you use the original lenses? Are they pretty bright? One of the original brackets that holds the bulb in broke on mine. Will try to fabricate another one. If no go...I'll glue the damn thing in!
So I have the chrome indicators (just rechromed) but have no wiring or sockets for the bulbs. Have figured out that they use a 330 bulb but it would be nice to have a socket and pigtail to put the bulbs in. Any ideas? Thanks.
Update: Got the new 67 emblem from Year One and no way to make it work. There is a peak in the 66 grill where it's obvious the GTX grill is flat. It was a valiant effort...but more trouble than it's worth. Sent the emblem back. Gonna follow 66 Sat's roadmap with a little less black around...

So I intend to black out a 66 Satellite grill to closely resemble a 67 GTX grill. I want to install the red, white and blue emblem for the GTX on the 66 grill. Question: Are the center bars on each grill the same height? I can drill the mounting holes in the 66 grill. Anyone?? Thanks.
I think the moldings are specific to the 66 satellite. They sit right on the top edge of the fender, door and quarter and run from front to rear starting at the fender mounted turn signal indicators. I never saw a 67 Belvedere with these moldings. I've seen guys convert a 66 Satellite to a 67...
