I haven't been able to work on the 63 Dodge for at least a year due to multiple surgeries..what I have done since posting is, the engine is set back 6", started bending up roll cage...the rear is complete...pictures do the talking

since responding to this thread about Bulldog heads about a year ago or so, I have re-built my 499 for the street!..it now has a "virgin" block that was decked 10.720, line honed for Billet steel caps, bored .055 for 4.375 bore..the new pistons are JE's reverse dome 10-1 compr, zero deck....I...
now if I were asked "what head would you use for a good racing head"...it would probably be one of the B-1 heads fully ported...because I have 3500 in those Bulldogs...1400 bare, then 3 guys porting them..
probably would have the same thing in the B-1's and make even more power...would have...

I have Bulldog heads on my 499....we make big power from these and the right cam selection...
no they are NOT Chinese..made in good old USA, Indiana...
I forgot the guy's name that owns Bulldog, Richards I think...at one time he helped design the Indy...
I took some pictures showing some grinding and sanding of the surfaces as I left them back in 2004..
I took the 9 inch out and as you can see I jacked the car up so I can get under it allowing me to move it..

I've been working it the last few days...welding, grinding, measuring, welding some more....started to fit the wheel tubs in...been 11 years since I bought them and finally opened the box up..also have the aluminum interior and trunk panels that need to be fitted...but thats later
the last time this car raced was back in the 80's...raced originally at US30, Oswego, indoor racing at the Chicago Amphitheater and sometimes at Union Grove...was white w/blue interior...
I have owned it for the past 14 years...
I also have a complete AlterKtion front end assembly that...
I bought my 63 Dodge 330 MaxWedge in 97 wanting to race nostalgia SS..I went as far as buying a new mega block, Callies crank, 572-13 heads,, basically a complete 572 engine build..
when 9/11 happened, I lost just about everything in the stock market due to a poor financial planner..so I had...
when I bought the car back in 98 it had been cut...the rear wells were badly done as mini tubs..cardboard with resin was used by the original owner..he also cut off the front frame rails and welded in 2x stock to support a straight axle..the rear portion of the shackle brackets are still...
thanks...perhaps this winter Ill get it out of the trailer and back on the lift..
always wanted to do a 65...those are cool..especialy altered wheelbase ones

I didnt get any for a mopar...wait I did..the Duster..brought it to a local show just to help bring in people..
most of my awards were from the Chevy/vette fest nationals for my 69 Camaro and the camaro did get in 98 an award from Hotrod Magazine when they did shows...
I dont think its genetic..
lets see...my Dad had a 55 Chrysler Windser..
then he had a 66 Chrysler Newport that was a piece of junk..litterly fell apart around us..
he never had another one since...
