Before killing, make sure what they are. If honey bees, killing the hive leaves all that honey to rot. Then it gets moldy and begins to smell. Wasps and hornets don’t have that honey problem so you can just carb cleaner, WD-40, etc. all you want.

M&H makes the ones for and from Year One; they are factory correct. They are ala carte, so you can just order what you want or need.
American Autowire has a nice "modernized" harness. It's more of a single harness.
I have used both manufacturer's products and both are good quality.
I believe that is what he is telling you. I had that same issue when I ran my electric fan within the same loom with other wires. The tach began hopping. Moved the fan wires, tach settled back to normal.

Don't care what year, I'll take a Chrysler or GM product over a Ford. Don't like 'em, never have, don't have any reason to step foot onto a Ford lot. Glad they're around, adds to the fun.
