sorry haven't had the time to finish up the interior,
needs headliner trimmed and moldings installed and a few bits and pieces.
need to get some new seat belts also.
I did take her for a short drive :) ran great for a stock 440 6 pack.
once I was down the road realized no mirror or seat belts...
Got her out of storage had to work on another project and deal with some health issues. Now back to dash wires seems no power to the temp and fuel gauges.
Got the six pack bolted on so far sounds good for setting years. More assembly before an alignment and a test drive
Nice to have her home.
thanks for the reply,
more info from another source says the harness may be from a Charger and the eyelet end wires are for power to the headlamp doors to open.
I am going to shrink tube them off and tie them up and move on.
I have the back glass installed and the carpet for the most part. Today...
I had to get busy on my road runner 440 6 pack 4 speed, have until the end of the month to move her from the body shop she has been stored. Had a lot of the work done but plenty more to do. I ask the manager of the shop if I could get as much work done on the RR up to June 1st he said no...
you might check with your local body paint shops and automotive paint supply store and see if they have any used fresh air systems.
The systems have evolved over the years... we have old ones left over from updating the systems but worked just fine.
also Some jobs are best to just pay for by...
I is not a crazy idea at all. I've built and repaired may cars and trucks using salvaged parts.
these are some images of a 1973 Cuda. the frame rails needed to be replaced due to some old repairs that was not good.
since the car we were repairing was not in a recent collision we measured the...
your welcome.
when doing old interior trim one thing to be aware of is that dam Armor all or silicone. a painters worst enemy.
easy to tell if it is on the part.. take a piece of masking tape and see if it sticks nothing sticks to armor all.
it has to all come off first and be careful not to...
Classic ind. has a few pages of the decals.
it is a good idea to take pictures of what and where the oem ones are located for reference later if your doing any painting.
any odd ball ones I couldn't find if the text was readable I'd carefully remove it, some times with help from a heat gun...
good deal you did use adhesion promoter if you want the paint to stick and stay on the part.
I have painted the chrome paint in the summer when the parts were nice and warm and it worked good.
I used the same paint this winter and found when the parts were cold the paint didn't want to lay out...
Looks good so far.
I would suggest an adhesion promoter of some sort on any raw plastic and steer away from using any harsh chemicals on the plastic. reason is it could soften the part and start any release agent to come to the surface that may be left behind from the molding. I've painted may...

has always been my go to place for tops. I checked with classic but they did not supply one for the 73
the grain was not the same as OEM and was told that the OEM grain was not available any more for the SE
we were ok with this grain so I did not do any more to try...
Thanks
think I am on the right track with a rubber spacer and now need to find short screws with a large head. but would like to see how it should be done OEM.
The Charger was in real nice shape with rust in the usual places where there was little to no paint or primer.
only one area behind...
Finishing up the repair on the hood insert where the screw bosses were broken off and cracked by taking some cut pieces of heater hose, coated the inside with a little Vaseline so the Plyo Grip wouldn't stick. after injecting the adhesive I packed it down to make sure there were no gaps then...
agree
vacuum advance will give you more total advance when cruising, which may give better MPG.
regardless of the system you still need set total advance at what your combo likes best for your application.
depending on what you really want MSD is good we use MSD for our race cars.
for street I lean toward an OEM type, less $$ and if you need parts they are more readily available at local parts stores.
this is for a 400 B engine the last kit was one of these. complete conversion...
