I don’t go to many car shows but decided to take this old girl out. I was more then surprised when she awarded the “Best Muscle Car”. In all there was probably ~100 cars (less then 5 mopars). I might go to another car show, next year.
I have an opportunity to buy a 1968 D383 HP motor. The casting date is 6 24. Still has the pistons/crank in it but don’t know anything else about it other then he paid $500 for it 10 years ago. It also comes with heads. Ive asked what bore it’s on and he indicated he will get someone to help him...
I got to spend the week on a road trip with my Dad. We drove from Las Vegas to Denver, picked up this beautiful 1933 Desoto then back to Las Vegas. Lots of driving but had a good time. Heading back to Washington State tomorrow.
I finished rebuilding my starter and I’m now needing to put a “brush plate sealer” around the removable brush plate. The service manual recommendation is brush plate sealer part number 2421847 (I’m not finding anything on line for this item).

I’ve been looking for a new starter for my 69 roadrunner. It has a 4 speed, 426 hemi. The hemi is a 1966. I’m running the stock manifolds. The starter that came off is a 3755259. I’m going to look at rebuilding it but wanted to hear the various recommendations. Thanks.
Getting ready to replace brake shoes but the front (passenger side) brake drum is stuck pretty tight. Any suggestions on how to remove? Already sprayed liquid wrench on it. The others came off with no problem.
Also any recommendations on replacement brake kits?
I have the opportunity to pick up a mopar 489 case 323 gears suregrip third member. I’m not sure what a fair price would be, he’s advertising it that it’s in good working condition. Wants $350.00
A new friend and I decided to brighten up a dreary day and get the RoadRunners out for a short cruise. Turned lots of heads as they rumbled down the road.
My tachometer in my 69 RR has started acting different. When it sits without any power it creeps up off of zero to the ~4 or 5k rpm mark. As soon as I turn on the ignition it immediately goes to 0. When the car is running it seem to function normally.
Has anyone dealt with this beforehand? It...
My heater core decided it was time to be redone so off to Bob at Glenray. In the meantime I spent the last couple days rebuilding the heater box. Finished and I hope it last another 49 years.
I'm a mopar fan thru and thru, I currently own a 69 Plymouth roadrunner and look forward to learning from all of you. I've attached a recent picture of my car.
