    The shaking 65 coronet

Wow, I'm having the same exact problem. Here's a link to my thread on the other site: http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=QuestionAnswer&Number=6821471 I was hoping for something simple up front (thus why I started out the thread asking about the harmonic balancer), but...

    Front Brake Drum Removal

The fronts should be a drum/hub assembly. You have to remove the spindle nut and slide the assembly off.

    Electirc fuel pump dumb question....

If you have a new Holley blue pump, are you running a regulator? That Holley pump is more than capable to feed your needs without the mechanical pump. "Small squirts" is relative at this point. Without seeing it, there's no way to determine if it's an adequate pump shot or not. So, sounds...

    Electirc fuel pump dumb question....

This one physically looks just like the one I have, and mine performs at the pressure levels listed for this pump as well. If you're not getting on it, this little electric ran my 383 just fine on the street (PO had bypassed the mechanical - turned out the push rod was wore out)...

    Electirc fuel pump dumb question....

Also, by "small squirts of gas" do you mean that there's very little gas squirting at what appears to be under little pressure, or are they small solid streams of gas? If you're getting a weak, low volume shot of gas, then there's a problem with the accelerator pumps. Adding fuel pumps to the...

    Electirc fuel pump dumb question....

If you've verified that you have fuel moving well through both lines to each carb (with the engine off, run a rubber line from the feed line at the carb (either do one at a time or check both at the same time) into a gas can then turn on the electric - see that you have a steady flow), I'd turn...

    Electirc fuel pump dumb question....

Just realized I didn't actually address your specific questions: - You don't have to bypass the mechanical pump - It can run into the stock mechanical pump - You won't increase fuel pressure to the carb by adding an electric behind the mechanical. The mechanical is going to create the...

    Electirc fuel pump dumb question....

Opinions vary, but on my setup I have a small electric and a good mechanical. I have no problems with either causing a problem for the other. My car is mostly street with some strip time. If you just need to fill the carb(s) prior to starting, then install a small inline electric and use it to...

Need rear brake adjusters 10" drums 8.75

My local chain store (IIRC it was Advance Auto) had them in stock. I needed one for my 10" drums - someone put a passenger side adjuster on the driver's side.

440 Ignition Timing with MSD system.

No doubt! Ran into a GM HEI which was so gummed up on the inside (the grease/lube on the distributor shaft and housing was so old and sticky) that if the mechanical advance managed to engage/move, many times it wouldn't reset/return to base timing when the RPMs came down. I scratched my head...

440 Ignition Timing with MSD system.

http://www.msdignition.com/instructions/Products/Distributors/8546.pdf?terms=advance%20curve%208546 According to the instructions, MSD sends those distributors out with heavy/slow springs. If you haven't already, I'd suggest reading through the instructions. You'll need to get some parts to...

    Can you name the problem?

This is not how to tune the carb for idle. Hopefully I'm mis-reading your description on your carb tuning changes. Always get the ignition/timing set first, then adjust the carb. I'd be going over the basics: correct plugs (already mentioned), good wires (test the resistance of each one)...

Water Coming In Under Passenger Side Dash

I have both my wipers and heater box installed and I have a nasty leak as well. Only comes around when the car gets rained on. Haven't tried to track it down yet. I was suspecting either windshield or cowl. But like I said, haven't looked into it yet.

    Super stock springs-How to install?

From what I've read, it's hit or miss with folks getting lift out of an XHD spring. The extra heavy duty springs are biased (as are SS springs) and modeled after the stock springs of a 440 or Hemi car. You may not get lift, but you'll have less spring wrap.
