Dr Penzias won't be down for breakfast

Dr Arno Penzias Phd has passed on, He was known for his discovery of the source for background microwave radiation which led to the accepted "big bang" theory. I had the honor of meeting Arno during my career at Bell Labs in NJ. The radio telescope/transceiver stands outside our old lab building...

Just ordered a new Strange Dana 60

Cass at Dr Diff was great to work with. With the new 440 I'm building I needed to either invest a lot in the 8 3/4 (sure-grip, axles, bearings) or just go big. I promise to post pictures when it arrives. At which time I'll have a complete 8 3/4 with 3.55s (open diff) for sale cheap.

    Power Steering Cooler

One of the upgrades on my 70 RR is the Borgenson Power Steering Kit. I really like the modern feel. However, both the new pump and the steering box run hot. Damn hot as in 240º F. I made a simple aluminum bracket on the mill and mounted a small Derale cooler on top of the pump where it gets...

Time for a new radiator, which one?????

Hey folks, In my 70 RR I currently have a 26" three core. With the new engine building 500 hp and the old radiator looking a little tired the time has come to replace it. The default would be an OEM replacement that is a 4 core. What about a Tri-flow, is it worth the price? Anyone want to...

    Steering Wheel Wrap

Hey folks, Inspired by the pictures of 1960's NASCAR wheels with a huge amount of electrical tape, I put a faux leather wrap on my 1970 RR. Driving on twisting backroads I needed a better grip. The "Superior Truckline" fits, however that thin plastic rim needs some padding. I used 3/16ths...

Anyone running an oil cooler and would like to chime in, I'm open to suggestions. I...
