Thanks all. There’s actually lots of info on the internet and videos demonstrating the process. Search for zinc electroplating. Kits available from Caswell and Eastwood. Mine was a home brew using the formula from the linked article.
Here’s the general process I followed...
My first go at zinc electroplating. I’m in process of rebuilding my Steering Column. The shift shaft was in bad shape. Almost as good as new now. Too bad the metal was pitted from rust, otherwise, came out great.
