I replaced the rear main seal in a 440 the other day. How critical is it to put a little oil on the seal before installing it? I have everything buttoned up and missed doing that. I haven’t put the oil back in the engine yet. Wondering if I should redo it all.
From Jan 11 to Feb 16 it cost me $4/day Cdn to heat my shop. That's about $2.90 US. My shop is 46 X 36 with a 14' ceiling and I maintain it at 48* and turn it up when I'm working in there. What's it costing you?
When I bought my 68 Charger the 440 was built with an Edelbrock top end kit. The block is a 73 so it's not a numbers matching car. Among the parts that came with the car is the intake, heads, distributor, cam, valve train and the air breather. I have no plans at the moment to ever put these...
I replaced, unsuccessfully, the rear main seal. It’s a 440 engine. The truck has sat for six weeks but I continue to have oil collect in the bottom of the bell housing. So a couple questions.

This beauty sold at Mecum this morning, hammered at $115,000.
So a couple things I noticed, there’s a pentastar logo on the lower right fender but not on the left one. Is this correct? I would guess not but the reason I ask is that I bought a 79 Power Wagon and it was the same way.
The outline...
I’m wondering if I can block just one forum. When I go on here I get a page of the most recent posts, 3/4 of which are for sale ads. I have nothing against people trying to sell parts on here, I’ve done it to, but I’d rather not have to scroll though all the ads if I’m not looking to buy anything.
