AWESOME! Thanks to all who are chiming in. Appreciate all the knowledge. I'm getting excited seeing all these big blocks with that bad-*** air cleaner, wrinkle or bare, tin or no tin!! The non-CAP simplicity makes it even better.
Amazing! I just looked at a few pages of your post showing the restoration of your car and I'm blown away. Thank you for sharing all the information. Beautiful work on a gorgeous car.
Thank you for all the pics you attached to this thread. With your sharing, now I can confidently find the...
Wow you're fast. Nice R/T, too.
OK, no nipple whatsoever. Anything about the back of the air cleaner or the base that I should watch for??
Thank you, Kevin
Good afternoon. I've got a '67 R/T that I'm trying to re-piece together with as many original parts as possible. Finding a dual-snorkel air cleaner is next on my list, but I'm not 100 percent sure exactly what the CORRECT dual snorkel for my car looks like.
The cars build sheet shows 77 for...
Hi Fran, thank you very much for the photo. I checked the '66 parts book and the correct drum for your Satellite, regardless of rear axle assembly is 2405798, the exact same as called up for my '67 Coronet! Now I have a photo of 2405798 to compare any potential ones for sale.
I APPRECIATE YOUR...
Thanks for your response, I should have given more information in my original post.
My car has a 4-speed with the Dana 60, power brakes with front drums and 11" x 2-1/2" rear drums. I know the part number of the drums I need is 2405798 and that these drums are smooth (not finned) with the...
Good day! I'm trying to find a pair of original Mopar rear brake drums for my '67 R/T. Trouble is, I can't identify one if I saw it! Does the drum have a pentastar or other feature to help identify? A photo of this particular drum would be great. THANK YOU, Kevin
Hi there, thank you for responding. Yes, 11" x 2.5 is the correct size. Is there a decent amount of material left for machining if required? Pictures would be great! Shipping will be to Sweet Grass MT 59484.
Hi there, I'm looking for a pair of excellent original 11" rear drums for my '67 R/T. 1966 or 1967 original Chrysler 2405 798. These drums are SMOOTH with NO FINS!! If you've got 'em and willing to sell please send me a personal message. Many thanks! Kevin
I thought Govier was wrong in his parts book Vol. 1 calling up a 7260 joint, and mistakenly assumed the joints for '67 would be 7290. You are correct as they are 1330; I took a look at the yoke in the Dana and it has the outside snap rings.
I'm still hoping to find an original driveshaft...
It is a dana 60, 4-speed car with the inertia ring. It currently has the driveshaft from a '68 R/T with 7290 joints and the inertia ring but the length between joints is about 3/8" too long. I slow down for speed bumps and try to avoid pot-holes so no problem with the current 'shaft. But, I'm...
Hi there, I'm looking for the correct driveshaft for my '67 R/T. Length 51-1/8" center to center between joints. Original PN 2883 640 as shown on the broadcast sheet. Original yoke condition not important. If you've got one that is exactly this length please send me a personal message. Many...
I'll throw my 2 cents in if I may. Real nice car. And don't give up your search. I literally prayed, yes, prayed to our Lord above to help me find the original broadcast sheet for my R/T and one day got a call from the second owner of my car saying he found the sheet. I drove 8 hours to get...
