Your shackles are not original and should be replaced. These were available to raise the rear of cars in my day. The problems with them is they are to long and since they have bolts, they could be over tightened and will allow the spring rubbers to wear out and soon you will have a sway in the...
First you need to know there are two different heads on a 318. Most 2 barrel engines have small intake runners. That is why you get two different size intake gaskets in a rebuild kit. Your standard 318/340/360 intake have the larger so the match up is not there so some porting will need to be...
I put a new fuel tank on my 1972 Plymouth satellite. The factory cap did not work since it would not tighten down. I got one from NAPA that seemed to work. Every time I stopped in about 10 minutes the tank would pop. Alot of pressure. Later I found that a 71 Plymouth satellite fuel cap was what...
I put a new fuel tank and filler neck on my 72 Satellite. The factory fuel cap is to lose and will not tighten. After a little research, I got a factory 1971 fuel cap and it works great. It seems that the filler neck changed from 71 to 72.
My brake pedal is low. Power brake car. Replaced master cyl and power booster with stock parts. My question is this. On the rod coming out of the power booster there is a nut. By turning the nut counter clockwise that will move it out extending the length of the rod, does that cause the pedal...
I found my problem with my axle. 8.25 with 2:71 gears. The passinger side Axle is slightly Bent. I need one if anyone know where to find one. OR can it be fixed?
Thanks for the info. The reason I have a line on it is I just helped my friend remove it from his 72 Roadrunner. It has been in there for some 4 or more years. He had P295 tires on 15x8 rims. Just seeing if the cost is worth it.
A simple answer is what I need, not some quite reply. The guy wants $1500 for the complete Axle drum to drum. I think that is a good price buy I do not know. I have an 8.25 in my car now with a bent axle shaft and that axle shaft will cost some $250 or more for JUST the axle shaft. So when you...
I have asked an older body man. He says that many times the Hood become loose from the under frame. This means the sealer between the top and bottom of the hood falls off this causing the hood to vibrate causing noise. Solution is to put new sealer between the hood and hood frame.
I think you are asking to many questions. It is a 72 Satellite as I stated, 318, with a factory 8.25 rear. Nothing has been changed. It should be some were around, 28 or 29 inch Axle shafts lengths.
I have a 72 Plymouth Satellite Roadrunner look alike with an 8.25 rear end. What is the length of the axle shafts? I know they are 17 spline. My passinger side is bent slightly.
I have a set of 15X8 4.5 back space that I took off a 73 Satellite with P255 60R15 tires all around. They fit fine. Put them on my 72 until I got my strip matching gold wheels done. Picture is of the 73 after we removed them and put Gold wheels on it also. Second is the wheels we had on.
