Yes I did fix that and now the fast idle screw sits on the index when choke plate is closed. But still cannot get the choke to "set" when depressing gas pedal once.
Hi, it might be my fast idle cam adjustment. It does not engage with choke almost closed and with tapping gas once. What could be issue? If someone has same carb that I could compare photos of the linkages with that would be great.
choke closed
choke open
I also assume #1 in photo is when...
Hi, can someone recommend a good quality manual adjustable setting open/close setting choke cable? or electric choke? Link/part number would be helpful. I have a 68 charger 440 with carter afb 4137s.
I would like get the engine to idle on its own when cold. I have a manual cable but its hard to...
Thanks. Here are photos to help. I would assume:
#2 - One wire for the coil connection for the RPM SIGNAL
#3 - One wire for a 12 volt switched source to power the instrument
wire attached to bulb which will mounted in #6 in some way? - One wire for a 12 volt source for internal illumination...
Hi, I am looking to fabricate panels on my 68 charger.
I would like to know type of steel was originally used? Is cold rolled mild steel ok?
and know original metal gauge size for:
rear quarters
roof skin
roof understructure
front/rear floorplans
trunk pan
rear frame rail
I also would like...
Hi, I have autometer pro comp rpm gauge I plan to install on my 68 charger 440. Is there a way to test the gauge before I install? There are only two red wires coming from the back of the gauge. How to wire?
No there is no rot in that frame rail. Looking at the strut rods fron under the car they appear straight. The photo you have circled is the driver side btw. I may just try adjusting/loosening the eccentric bolts of the upper control arm and see where that gets me.
I am not sure of the history of the car and do not think it has been aligned in a long time. Tire size is 235/70R15. American racing vector rims I believe, backspacing 3.75". I do not think the front end is sitting low. When I did the front brakes I just installed the spindle and discs. I have...
How is caster adjusted? I believe that will move the passenger front tire closer to the rear of the fender. Also, I will try to get photos tommorow. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
Tire size is 235/70R15. Looking again at the car it looks like the passenger fender is not a 68. On the inside of the passenger fender I see a rectangle not circular hole. This hole is covered by filler on the exterior. Is there a difference in wheel well shape/positioning between 68 and 69?
The side with the female spade terminals is rotten. The upper/male side is still solid so either the female or whole connector would be fine. My plan was to find a replacement plastic piece and remove/reinsert each spade terminal one by one into the new one
