Not that I'm aware of. I would be in the same situation as you had I not had mine gone through years ago. There are other options but none locally that stand out. If you have questions I feel that there are trans gurus on here that can steer you in the right direction. dvw is a very good...
Totally agree on all points. Mine are cracked and I've just reached the point that I dont care to look at them any longer and thought the ones from Laysons would be a relatively inexpensive upgrade. I remember many years ago there was place that made some sets but were of very poor quality and...
Looking at options for replacing the lenses and looking for feedback or experiences with the ones that Laysons sells. I'm not that interested in NOS at roughly 300 plus per side as what I typically find out there, the car just doesn't warrant high $$ parts.
Im looking at adding a radiator overflow catch can but want something that appears to be somewhat factory looking and not a beer can or something along those lines. Im using a stock 26" radiator and and there is much room to mount anything so just curious what creative options you all have seen...
I pulled a screw out and they are the nylon version which may be due to the metering block being billet? I couldnt stay on hold any longer with QF but at least I have my answer. The seal came out with the screw so it was not well seated in the block.
I see nothing out of the recesses but there is definitely little to no resistance on the screws which is why they are not staying in place. I'll order up some new gaskets. I just wonder how well the cork holds up after a short time here in the desert climate.
I'll pull one out and see what material the seal is. I would think the viton or nylon, whatever those are made from in that pic would be far better than cork.
I inadvertently discovered this issue where all four idle mixture screws had backed out from the 1.5 turns out that they were set at. The carb is Quick Fuel Street Q 950. I re-tested this again yesterday when I set them back to 1.5 turns out and went for about a 6 mile ride and again all 4...
Thanks for the replies. Im currently running an 8" Ramcharger style steel wheel with 4.5 of BS and a 255-60 M/T ET Street radial which fits in there fine. I was hoping to hear that at least a 235-60 will work which it sounds like it will based on Runcharger's experience. There is no custom BS...
I'm considering changing the the rear wheels and tires on mine and looking for examples of what tire size fits when using a 15 x 7 torque thrust D with 3 3/4 backspacing. The 8 3/4 is stock width and wheelhouses are all stock.
Let me know your thoughts.
