I got a Hellcrate to put in my '69 Charger but I don't any of the literature to go with it. Does anyone know where to get the service manual with all of the torque specs etc.?
Yeah I’m doing all of that. Got the level 2 stiffening kit from us car tool. Will be doing aftermarket k-frame and 4 link in the back (haven’t decided on which yet but thinking Gerst or RMS). Going to order a Strange or Curry 60 rear when I decide on gears.
You’re right, it’s a very heavy car. I’m not necessarily looking to compete against every hellcat. I’m more interested in at least being able to keep up with other chargers that have done the hellcat swap.
Sorry but I disagree. Dropping a hellcat it with all the modifications will cost over $30k. Pretty sure I can get a 440 to compete for around $20k but maybe I’m crazy. Love to hear others thoughts.
Morning all! I’m building a ‘69 Charger (not numbers matching) and have been trying to decide on a direction for my motor. It seems like everyone and their mother is doing a hellcat swap these days and not that it’s not cool, it’s just not my style. I prefer the old school big block. I’m...
Hey all, I’m restoring the dash from my ‘69 Charger. My issue is it’s an AC car and the vents are pretty rough, especially the center vents. Is anyone aware of a shop that can restore these? Or know of an aftermarket replacement?
I’m a little late to the party but stumbled across this while looking for a builder in California. Would you mind sharing your builder’s contact info with me? Not afraid to spend the money, just want someone who knows mopars and I can’t seem to find anyone in my area (Fresno, Ca). Thanks
Any block experts out there? I pulled mine from a ‘69 Charger (not original) and stripped it down. The date code appears to be 4/5/68 and as you can see it has the strengthening ribs over the freeze plugs which I didn’t think started until later blocks. And all the blocks I’ve seen has these...
My reasoning is mostly just to get rid of the bulkiness and extra weight of the stock one. But very good feedback, you have me second guessing myself now. Will check out your suggestions. Thank you!
I’m wanting to go with an aftermarket front suspension on my ‘69 Charger. Leaning towards the Magnum Force Transformer setup as it seems sturdy and can include everything from steering components to brakes if you option it out. Any have experience, good or bad, with this setup or recommend...
I’ve had a 69 Charger since 99 and I’m finally stripping it down for restoration. I’m in the California Central Valley and am looking for recommendations on body and paint shops. The closer the better but LA and Bay Area would be okay. Does anyone have anyone they’d recommend?
