I tried that. All I found were modern clips that are very wide and serve a hard clamping purpose. I'm looking for somthing that looks closer to a factory like the picture I posted.
I purchased a new set of PG Classic reproduction seat belts and they didn't come with the sewn in plastic clips that keep the strap excesses from flapping around. Is there a good substitute other than say a bobbie pin?
Restoring my hubcaps and I see someone sells a vinyl red ring kit for the centers but what about the black scallops around the edges? I can imagine it would take a week to put those back on with masking or a brush.
RPU Stinks. I called Legendary last Oct and they said 12 month wait for a rear seat cover. WTF, right? So I called around and RPU said they would have it to me in 3 months. I called in December, said February. Called in February, said March. I just got off the phone and they said 16 more...
Looking to replace my originals with the best aftermarket available. I'm 95% sure the ones on the car are original but they have chrome buttons. I was under the impression '69s had black buttons.
Thanks.
So I spoke with a friend of Ron Adair (Greg) who remembers the car from back in the late 80s or early 90s. He said that the car was purchased by Ron from a hemi car and parts collector guy who lived in Iowa. Greg even helped pick it up and brought it back to Great Lakes and who later delivered...
I purchased this 1971 Hemi Roadrunner that was formerly owned by Ron Adair of Great Lakes Mopars. Sadly, Ron passed away in 2007. Ron was a huge collector of rare mopars and owned my Hemi RR in the early 90s before trading it for a '70 Hemi Cuda to Mike Dozier in 1995. I have the complete...
It could be guides but I'm leaning towards an intake manifold to lifter valley gasket. If it were stem seals/guides, the car would smoke every time you did a cold start of the engine. However, a hard stop at a light might slosh oil and get sucked into the intake from below. How is your...
Jerry,
I checked and I can't find anyone who will plane/ surface an exhaust manifold. We use to have a motorcycle shop who had a table sander but they went out of business.
I read that many people have had success just using ultra high temp gasket sealer and no gaskets. I might try that but first I have to get the manifolds off.
I have a '71 Hemi RR with stock exhaust manifolds, power steering and power brakes. The gaskets on both sides have developed a leak. Is it possible to remove and reinstall the manifolds without jacking or removing the motor? Doesn't look like there is much room down there...
