15x8 - 4.5" Backspace
15x10 - 5.5" Backspace.
275/60's on a 15x8 with a 4.5" backspace are typical for b bodies, which will allow plenty of clearance and give you a nice look.
Anything larger than a 275 I would recommend using a 15x10 with a 5.5" backspace. (275 on a 15x10 doesnt look...

I'm looking for a deck lid for my 1968 Coronet that is in good, to great condition. I currently have a fiberglass replacement which fits well, but I would like to use it as a back up.

The deck lid hinges are held in place by a push on lock washer. Without it, the brackets will move from side to side, pop off, or wont pull down properly.
You currently have the torsion bars in their lightest position. Pulling them towards the rear panel will increase the tension on the rods...
They are not the same. The ‘69’s headlight mounting surfaces are flat, and the ‘68’s are stepped. This, making it impossible to mount the headlight, surrounds and grill.
