Look for an aluminum transmission pan for a 727. I am having trouble getting the chrome thin pit metal ones to seal properly. Going to try to use a higher quality pan.
I am trying to avoid respraying the whole car. I have fender that is off white to the rest of the vehicle. Does anyone know of a paint shop they would recommend that i can ship my gas tank lid to so they can match the color? If they could ship me a quart of the paint? Thank you.
Every pan I’ve tried has leaked regardless of type of gasket used. I’m looking for something that isn’t made out of thin pot metal. Thx. 727 torqueflight
I know approximately 6 million threads have been created on the topic, however, I would like some fresh input. I got a 440 that has a pretty solid engine oil leak coming from the bell housing dust cover. (Yes I’ve checked valve covers and oil sending unit). I’ve also read on the previous threads...
Greetings.
What actually secures the remote to the door panel or door? This piece is loose and all moves together? Is there a retaining bit of some sort? Is so, anyone got one?(this is just a picture I found… not mine)
I need of a pair of arms rest pads for the front door panels on a 66 b body. I know these are available elsewhere but I wanted to check here first! Thx. Need black in color. Thanks.
Greetings,
I have a 66 charger where all the exterior trim looks like the picture below. What is a way to make this not such a eye sore? Any old heads have any advice or helpful tips on what to do? Appreciate your time.
Anyone have a one they don’t need or can point me in the direction of where to buy one. All the ones I see that say “fit” have vertical 5/8’s tubings. The 66 charger has horizontal tubing going through the firewall. Classic industries has the correct one but they are out of stock.
Greetings,
have a single post Neutral safety switch on a 727 that’s giving me issues. It’s a brand new switch I got from classic industries. Ground wire to relay is also new and not charred. Problem I’m having is sometimes it won’t start in park I have to go to neutral to start. I can Rock the...
Mild 440
Going to ask this again because I’ve done a lot of suggestions from you great folks, but still have the same issue. I’m getting around 10” of vacuum at idle on both vacuum ports. (Ported and manifold) and I CANNOT figure out why. My engine rpm is ~800 and can’t go any lower. I’ve tried...
Greetings- I have a mild 440 in a 66 charger. It has a edelbrock 1407 750 CFM carb. When the vacuum advance is attached, the motor stumbles and misses at idle. When I disconnect the VA, it runs MUCH smoother. So I bought a vacuum gauge. I get 25” from the pink pink port and 30” from the blue...
I’m asking specifically for a 66 charger with long tube headers. I’ve read that a lot of exhaust systems that claim to fit b-bodies don’t actually fit the 66-67 charger due to the gas tank. Anyone have any recommendations from first hand experience?
Greetings all, this is a mild 440 with summit racing headers, 750 CFM 1407 carb, and points distributor. Compression in all cylinders is 120-130 psi. Oil pressure is great. Adjusted timing with no change. I’m horribly terrified that this is lower end knock. I only hear it at the exhaust...
My car misses and backfires when I tighten down the distributor adjustment bolt. When I loosen the bolt the engine runs perfect. It’s a 440 big block with stock ignition system. The distributor clamp seems to pull the distributor instead of evenly press down. What would cause this?
