I buff my Belvedere and DD every spring with Meguiars Ultimate polish. After that the Belvedere gets sealed with Cerakote and the Bronco Sport gets Mothers Hybrid. All three are easy to use and provide a brilliant luster.

I did that conversion to my 66 Belvedere. The coupler is different between the manual and power, they are different sizes. My Belvedere had a solid 1 piece shaft. Pulling the column is the easiest way to shorten the shaft. After I installed the power box I did a lot of measuring of the manual...
I have long tube headers on my 66 Belvedere/440 and as soon as I get the proper parts purchased the headers are going in the scrap. I have had a belly full of dropping the drivers side header to replace or repair anything on that side. If you have a street cruiser that will rarely see 5,000 rpm...
Check the angle of your clutch fork pivot. Mine was pretty extreme when I finally found it but when it started to crack my clutch pedal would stick half way.
A properly tuned Q-Jet will run as smooth and accelerate as fast as any other piece on the market. Check your plugs, wires, cap etc for problems. Make triple sure there are no vacuum leaks. Don't be real quick to blame the carb for a bad idle.
Someone a lot smarter than me once said, 95 % of...
I'm going through the same thing with my 66 Belvedere. From what I have learned there are 2 available for a 66. Oreilly offers a 32 spline, 1 1/8 sector shaft, 5 1/4" center to center length. There is a fast ratio 36 spline, 1 1/8 sector shaft, 7 1/4" center to center. I looked up other b body...
True story. When my 66 Belvedere came to me it had a very healthy 440 with headers plus a new set of Doug's d452 ceramic coated headers. It also came with a bad mini starter. To change the starter I had to drop the driver's side header. That is not as simple as it sounds. First, spark plugs come...
I have a 66 Belvedere ll 440 auto and am changing from manual to power steering. I know the main shaft is shorter on the power steering cars but would rather not cut my original shaft. I have a complete 70 Chrysler non tilt steering column, auto with power steering, and would like to use the...
I agree with the stick with what you have crowd. Go to AutoZone and get a leak down kit from their loaner program and see what the current health of your engine is. If it checks out okay then headers and a 2 1/2 exhaust will give you a great sound and 3.91 or 4.10 rear gears will have you...
Choke is missing on this carb, someone fabed an arm on the side for a manual choke cable. I was going to search for the choke parts on ebay when I rebuilt it.
$60 plus shipping is the best I can do.

I have a 4175 list 7002-1 I picked up at a swap meet this summer. I was planning on re-building it this winter as a back up for my Belvedere. I will let it go for $60 plus shipping. I can send some pictures to you if interested.
I had fumes in my A body, not really gas or exhaust just a nasty smell. Windows up and no odor. Crack a window and the odor was there. Sealed everything from the engine bay to the cabin and no help. The great people on FABO to look at the steering column seals and that was the problem all along...
#'s matching only matters with my lottery tickets. 1 of my last 4 hot rods was original and in this area I couldn't squeeze the extra 2-5 thousand out of it that the originality should have brought. My current 66 Belvedere has GM paint, a hot 73 440, 73 trans and 73 410 rear from a Dodge. No...
This may seem overly simplified but why not drill increasingly larger holes in the plastic port cap? Stop drilling when you are happy with the performance. If you don't get to that happy place just put a new cap on and you haven't done any harm to your carb. Just a thought.

I have to join the group that has never had a problem with E10 fuels. I know, over the 4 automotive forums I belong to, there is a large faction believing E10 will do harm to your classic. A couple years ago I did a non scientific test between my 75 C3 with a mild build 355 original Rochester...
My duty was at Pease in New Hampshire. Worked as an airfield electrician and power lineman. I am not sure what our FB 111 alert birds were carrying but I do know if you crossed into the alert area without authorization, you would end up on your face with several M16s pointed at you or worse.
