Okay to follow back up with my past post I torn the motor back down replaced the rings with steel rings honed the cylinders replaced the oil pump with a standard one put a set of J heads to full that out and a different intake as well. STILL smoking the same! I don’t understand
I took the pcv out and plugged the hole then took off the breather and stuck my hand over the opening while at about 2000 rpm and noticed no suction and no build up of pressure.
I'm pretty sure its oil but when I get off work I'll go check I did not think about that. Who knows maybe its that simple. Seems like the simplest stuff is the hardest to find sometimes
I'm starting to wonder if I should pull the heads back off and take them to another shop and let them look at them. I did look and they have new seals, guides and springs. Also the motor did not smoke like this before it was torn down.
yes valve guides were replaced and the intake seal is good on all the intakes I have tried. I just do not understand how it could get this much oil up top.
As far as I am aware. Why do you ask? Could that be the issue? This is my first Mopar small block, I have always messed with big blocks so maybe there is something I'm missing.
So nothing was milled or decked and I have checked all valve seals are there. I noticed on the for C bodies only forum a guy was having the exact same issue as me but the thread ended without what was done to fix the issue
