66 Coronet Deck Lid Trim Fasteners

I'm looking to remove and clean up the top stainless trim piece on the back of my 66 Coronet 440 deck lid. It appears to be held on by two studs and nuts (at either end which you can see and handle easily) plus five plastic push pins of some kind. I can see a small white plastic push pin...

    Weeping Master Cylinder Plug

The previous post about the weeping MC cover prompted me to ask about my weeping MC plug. I have a 1966 Coronet Slant Six with the original one pot MC and 10" drum brakes all around. Now that I have rebuilt all 4 drum brakes and replaced all 4 wheel cylinders I still notice a very slow drop in...

    Radiator Identification to Ease Communication

Folks, I have a 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 2-door hardtop with the 225ci Slant Six engine (non A/C, non-Cleaner Air Package, no shroud). Can you please help me identify my radiator and how it is described (e.g., "the 26inch radiator")? Radiator Number on top tank is 2582937AB The lower radiator...

    Orphan Broadcast Sheet Found

I've been meaning to post this since I got my 66 Coronet in May but just haven't got to it until now. I received a fair amount of documentation with my 66 Coronet 440 Slant Six including the window sticker and a bunch of maintenance info and receipts. However, amongst the docs there is a...

66 Coronet - Trunk Lid Trim Work

The upper horizontal trim piece on the back of my trunk lid has a few dings from people not being careful backing up I presume. How do I remove and successfully re-install this trim bar so I can fix the dings? From inside the trunk it appears that the trim bar is held on with whitish plastic...

    WTB 66 Coronet Firewall Plug

Hello, I have just removed an aftermarket A/C system. The hoses passed through a hole in the firewall that now needs a plug. The hole is just above the gas pedal on the firewall and is about 2" circular. I need a plug for this if anyone has one. Thank you.

    Which Coil Do I Need?

Folks, I got my 66 Coronet 225ci Slant Six in June. I plan to convert to the Pertronix 1361A ignition module replacing the points later this summer. I'd like to get a new coil at the same time but not sure about the 1.5ohm vs 3.0ohm coils. The two Pertronix Flame Thrower coils are 40011...

66 Coronet Wipers Won't Turn Off

I was caught in the rain going home from a car show today with my 66 Coronet 440. The wipers had worked fine and I had used them recently with no problems. Today I turned them on for some spotty heavy rain but when the rain slowed I could not turn the wipers off. I have the "OFF-ON-variable...

    New Member from South Carolina

Hello All, I just joined this forum after finding a very nice 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 2-door hardtop in late May 2022. I was looking for this type of classic car because I owned one (very similar) from 1974 - 1983 when I was in my 20s. It is an original unmolested and un-restored survivor in...
