The 14’s are stock. 215/75 in front and 235/70 in back. No mags, just OEM steels with Mopar hubcaps. I also plan to convert the front drums to disc once the snow flies this winter so wanted a little bigger wheel to accommodate the discs/calipers.
I just want a good handling and safe tire that will fill in the well a little bit. The 14s with the tires that are on there seem lost in those wells. So nothing to big nor major, just a little more fill. I got these rims because it’s the style I like and they were 15s, which I felt was what i...
Thanks, I’m looking for a little more in the well, the current stock 14’s are lost in there especially with the tires that are on them. I want the functionality (handling, safe for the rim size, no rubbing in turns/bumps etc, stability) but a little more “fill” than what it is now
Looking for advice on tire sizes for my wheels. They are 15x7 with 4” backspace on the front and 15x8.5 with 5” back space on the back. Any suggestions for tire sizes that would fit best with no rubbing on the wheel wells? These are on a 69 charger that I’m swapping out the original 14” steels
Hey all, I’m looking to convert the stock front drums to disc on my 69 Charger RT. I already have a kit in mind that will work with my stock spindles and I have confirmed it will work with my wheels. My question is, will I have to change the stock master cylinder and/or booster?
Problem is, I’m not sure the one on there is correct, the pulley also looks different than what I have been seeing in pics of rlund backs as “original”. What’s on there is flat but when I see something that is supposed to be “original” the pulley has the center “horn” or “nose” that comes out...
I don’t have any suggestions but I do have questions. I’m looking to go to the American racing Vector 15x8 in the back, I actually still have the original 14’s all around on mine now. What size tire are you using on the backs that are rubbing? Any pics so I can see how they look?
Also hoping...
Hey all! Hoping someone out there can help me out. The alternator on my ‘69 charger is on its last leg. What’s on the car is a round back double groove pulley, the car is an AC car and a true RT. I’m looking to buy a new alternator and I’m finding that they all seem to be square backs. My...
Can anyone tell me what the letters on the engine pad mean? I know the “E” in front of the 440 is for the year 1969, and I know the “3” and the “24” mean it was built on March 24th 1969, and the “HP2” mean high performance and I believe 2nd shift but. what does the backwards “C” mean and the “T”...
I asked for that, doesn’t look like it had a VIN stamped on the other side. At least I couldn’t see from the pic. I wondered since it wasn’t that orange/red color and didn’t have the HP stamped nor the years letter code (E in the case of what I’m looking for).
Okay haven’t seen this stamping pattern before. Any help? Looking at buying it but want to be sure of what it is. Supposedly it was originally from a 69 Coronet and was a six pack but is now in a truck. Casting number is correct for a 69 440 (2536430, date looks to be 2-14-69) but the stamping...
